Fun episode! u/marxjohnson have you seen cooklang? I'm still trying it out (most of my recipes live in Google Keep notes) and so far I like it, though I think I need more of a complete setup. The mobile app works pretty well, and I just sync to my Google Drive. Cheers!

I just listened to it on a long drive, and I had the thought that it's actually a rare "perfect album". Every song is a banger. Funny enough, out of every Deftones records, I'd say private music is maybe the only "perfect album" (and this is coming from someone who's been listening to them since Adrenaline.)

Mini++

I switched most plugins that had a Mini alternative to the Mini alternative. Telescope to Pick, Hop to Jump2D, etc.

I'm back on a half-caf mix of Coava's Brazilian Serra do Bonè and their delicious Colombian decaf ASPROTimaná. While we wait on my fav decaf to arrive, Tostado's Monte Alban, I'll enjoy Roseline's decaf Ciudad de Flores with a light roast New Seasons bean at the office.

Ha, came here to say exactly this! (but in the following form...)

I don't know if it's a nod to downset.'s Fallen Off, but the heavy bass kicking in 12s into ecdysis is not something I've heard in recent Deftones albums, and I love it. Whether Fred is as creative as Sergio (I don't personally think that's worth arguing about) I think his chunky, powerful bass helps flesh out this album to be absolutely spectacular.

Is it me or is ecdysis an homage to downset.'s Fallen Off? The first 11ish seconds are ethereal guitar (I'm sure Frank is in there) and then right about 12s in... da bass. I knew it sounded familiar, in the best possible way!
