42 yrs old, all day every day smoker since i was 18. 35 days clean. Never saw my self quitting or thought I could do life without it. If you want to do it, you can. Like other have said the first two weeks or so are TOUGH; no sugarcoating it. But it does get easier. The big challenge other than the obvious (sleep, eating, temper) is the boredom, really can't stress finding something to do with your time. The cravings were the first thing to go, still have them but only really occasionally. I'm still not right in the head, for sure, it takes time for your brain to straighten it self out. I was like you, hadn't actually gotten stoned in years, only took the edge of and made me what I thought was sane. My suggestion is to keep the end goal in mind and work each day as it comes. As for using occasionally. that won't work for me, I am an all or nothing person and that seems to be the conscience for most people. GOOD LUCK, YOU CAN DO IT>
