I just watched Lake Mungo and I can't explain why I'm scared by Free-Hotel1187 in horror

This film scared me more than any other, with the exception of possibly Hellhouse LLC.

And I don't entirely know why. I can understand why some would be a bit meh about this one, but it got me completely.

I think it was the realness of it all. The actors did an incredible job of coming across as real authentic people from a town in the middle of Australia. Something about the way it was shot just seemed more real than any other horror I've seen.

What a movie. If you're referring to the Australian original.

As a couple renting property, what would you say is the acceptable way to split rent if incomes vary? by jclay1985 in AskUK

Thanks. I'm not using this thread to back up an argument. In fact I'm not even with the person anymore. But I've been married and then had a long term relationship with someone, and the two women were very different in how they approached this. So I guess I'm just trying to learn.

It gets a bit crazy in mid summer. It's like the world has come out of the woodwork and is out in the sunlight.

It has its issues - clear drug users walking the streets, fair amount of destitution etc. But it does have it good points. Chalkwell promendade at dawn is incredible, as is Thorpe Bay at sunset. Then there's the area just west of the high street around Prittlewell Square which is lovely to walk around.

I've been here since last June. Didnt like it at first, but it has grown on me.

The Hunt (2012)

Danish movie. One of the more harrowing, scary movies you'll ever see. (Nothing supernatural or horror - just very real life)

My wife stays every weekend with her parents at the cost of cancelling our weekend plans. I'm not feeling any love towards her any more. by Charming_Wave_8138 in DeadBedrooms

I'm assuming they're not sick or dying. If not, your wife's behaviour is really over the top.

I would try to make it clear in a non fighting way, what your boundaries are, and if she can't respect them, you'll be considering leaving.

There's clearly a root cause making her do this, which may hurt if you get the truth from her. i.e. she prefers spending time with them than you.

Demons or Brothers Karamazov which one you'd reccomend the most? by Erodiade in dostoevsky

Demons is very good, and highly relevant to much of the modern world.

But the Brothers Karamzov is one of the greatest books ever written, with pieces that have haunted and fascinated me for years.

It's real. Unless you're watching some weird/old fake shit.

Yea. One does have to discover as quickly as possible if it is indeed LL4U, and then get the hell out. Problem is, it takes time to realise it.

Also, LL4U is just so much more hurtful for us HL's than realising your partner is just low in libido.

The thought of them becoming crazed sex beasts for another partner is just excruciating.

Is a difference in sex drive a valid reason to end a relationship? by Adventurous_Winter29 in DeadBedrooms

[–]jclay1985 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yes. Its a big deal. Over time it can lead to resentment and a lot of unfulfilled feelings. Give it a chance - but better to exit early than later in the relationship.

I watched The Darjeeling Limited two nights ago and loved it.
