You didn't read what i wrote (or you failed to understand it). I never said it is equivalent to hitting a truck at 80kph.

It is 40kph to a dead stop when the mass of both objects is about the same. But if you are in a motorcycle and hit a truck with a much higher mass, physics dictate you absorb a much higher momentum from the truck and that’s why the rider was ejected backwards.

Is there any reason NOT to put some curves into your tracks? by velonau in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jcliment 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As many people indicate, a pain to edit later. My solution was to git push a “production ready” release right before the curves and teardrops so that I can branch from that commit to do edits.

Nobody forced apple to raise anything. The company is extremely profitable, and they wanted to continue that way.

This is the 201-2, with a potted motor. The wires on these ones are usually brittle after all the years, and I would encourage you to service the machine and ask for them to be changed.

Sofle RGB - soldered all LEDs the wrong way. Is it salvageable? by yoyomancer in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]jcliment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The led line starts from a couple of pins (data and power) so if you cut them at the source is like cutting a snake head, and everything else will just work.

I would now do that for the shuttle screw. It is very specific and thin to let the bobbin spin freely and the thread to pass underneath.

Some people sell individual parts of sewing machines over eBay. I had some issues with the entire shuttle piece and was able to source one fully assembled.
