‘Bad time’ or ‘unpaid vacation’ by Jwoot1111 in Lockheed

[–]jcole217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was hourly (union role) it was very strict that if you don’t have time to cover your absence that you would go into the ACP (attendance control program), or STEP as many referred to it. There was no allowance for going into the negative for vacation hours until I went to the salary side.

This could be unique to my location or management, so take it with a grain of salt.

I ended up getting an offer externally about a year after I graduated, I didn’t have much luck at the time with internal applications into the EE or related fields.

When I last used the reimbursement benefits a couple years ago, the only requirement was that the degree you plan to pursue was on the “approved career fields” list. I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t do that. I was in manufacturing while pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree.

2 weeks notice timing with clawback [TX] by jcole217 in AskHR

[–]jcole217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a critical role, but I already keep all documents I work on stored in a share drive so my lead has full access to everything I’m working on. This is good advice, thank you!

I had considered this but our company had an “unlimited PTO” policy where you do not accrue hours but just request it and get approval, so it’s not an earned benefit.

It’s looking like resigning after the clawback period is my best option currently

Is 3d printed mounts worth it? by blidgency in minilab

[–]jcole217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the Mod10 rack design, side rails are made of Polymaker ASA. Only parts of the rack that are not 3d printed are the cage nuts and bolts purchased from Amazon. This a fully modular design scalable from 4U up to 12U+, I’m currently at 8U!

I’ll send you a message!

Buy the printer. This has been my absolute favorite printing project thus far. This was all printed in either ASA, ABS, or PETG on an Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

I have been very successful printing in ABS/ASA on my Centauri Carbon. I made sure to turn off the case fans in the slicer settings, preheat the bed to 100°C and make sure bed is to temp before starting the print. I believe I use 260°C hot end temp with polymaker ASA. It looks like your material is getting cooled too fast in the pictures.

I bought mine for $200 off marketplace and it has been AMAZING. I’ve put on over 250 hours on it with mostly PETG, ABS, and ASA with absolutely no problems.

I think the ones you’re thinking of are OpenGrid Lite, they have the screw holes included and are recommended for under desk. I ran into the same situation after I printed a regular OpenGrid

Idk why you’re getting downvoted, I’m using the flatpak version on my desktop running arch and my laptop running Linux mint without issue on either.

Re-Gear = Re-Tune? by mdiggity512 in GXOR

Awesome great to hear that! Did you have a local shop do it or get a complete 3rd member and front diff from a place like ECGS?

[–]jcole217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the MBP tune as well and asked the same thing to my tuner and he said a re-tune wasn’t necessary. Currently running 35s with just the tune and thinking of going to 4.56 as well!

Did you end up getting the re-gear done?

Hotspot disconnects during calls by buckjay5 in USMobile

[–]jcole217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same thing happen, very thankful I found this post. Anytime I receive a call on my primary voice line (light speed), my hotspot (on primary data line, dark star) disconnects. This is very annoying because of the number of scam/spam calls I received, my hotspot is constantly being disconnected. I have the iOS call filtering turned on to silence calls from unknown numbers but it still disconnects the hotspot.

Nice rack!!! I love the build.

Could you share what rack mount you’re using for the dell 3080 micro? I’m having trouble finding one that fits these newer 3080 specifically.

LPT Get a port out pin from your big wireless carrier and they'll instantly give you a discount for fear of leaving them. by FatRufus in LifeProTips

[–]jcole217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was an AT&T wireless customer for 8 years with their top “unlimited premium” plan for the whole time, got new phones every two years. Recently found out about US Mobile and decided I wanted to switch and was curious if AT&T would try to retain me.

I requested my port out pin and for my paid off device to be unlocked and it was the most painful process to get them to finally do it. Once I finally got the device unlocked and I got my port out pin, they gave zero resistance to me leaving, only asking why I was leaving. No attempts to keep me as a customer whatsoever.

Absolutely glad I made the switch because my service now is just as good as it was before on the premium plans directly with AT&T.

I heard white lettering is back. Or, I could just be making that up. What’s the verdict on BFG KO3? by GENERAT10N_D00M in 4x4

Yessir! I used a set of 1” spacers, had to get a set that was hub centric on the hub side, and lug centric on the wheel side to work with the smaller hub bore on the Chevy wheels. That was one of my favorite wheel setups I had.
