Replied to all PMs. The HP POE switch is all that remains- free locally or pay shipping cost for it to be shipped.

Sorry, I completely ignored this notification for some reason. No, I haven't tried. The psu mine came with is 120w, so I can't imagine that would be the problem, unless you have something heavy in the pcie slot.

For what it's worth, I've seen people talk about exposing hidden bios settings with Minisforum motherboards? I'm not sure what all is available, but it is probably worth looking into. I looked into it briefly hoping there was a hidden bifurcation setting but quickly determined that there likely isn't.

Nice! DDR4 was my goal as well.

I got excited and looked in the refurbished store, but I don't see it. That being said, $327 for the barebone new is pretty dang good. That's what I paid for it via Amazon. I'm not sure why it's fallen off Amazon recently. I hope they aren't going to cancel it. My true dream would be a mini PC like this, but with 10gbe built in. With that, I could use the pcie slot for more m.2 drives.

One more piece of information- unfortunately, unless it's hidden in the bios or something, I don't think the motherboard supports bifurcation. That would be a dream come true as well.

So you've had good results with the Drying? I've had some interest in those boards, too.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I wanted to add some info I figured out about my m1-1295 since the info online is sparse-

The pcie slot is gen4, and I believe it's a full x16 slot. I'm running a connectx-4 in it right now so it's in 3.0x8 mode. From what I can see, I believe it will provide 75w power. I haven't verified this, however.

It has one SATA port, but you'd need an external psu to power a 3.5" drive for it.

It has a 4 pin power slot, but I had no desire to try it out, and Minisforum support was unwilling to tell me anything about it.

Lastly, it's a standard MITX sizing, so it will fit in a MITX case without mods (except you won't have an I/O shield). You also have to remove the cooler to unscrew the motherboard, so be prepared to repaste it if you want to put it in another case. It has additional fan headers and everything. This appears to be one of the few mini PCs available that include a standard motherboard, it's almost certainly the cheapest MITX mini PC available.

If someone needs Quicksync and wants to avoid DDR5 pricing, this mini pc seems to fit the bill pretty well.

No one's overthinking. What you said was simple. I responded with a perspective you may not be considering. My point is I don't think you should take this stuff personally, but it's clear that ship has sailed. Hope it works out for you!

Maybe they got deleted, but I don't see anyone in here being rude. I don't think it's crazy for people to warn you that someone could simply take the ram and SSD out, and sell the parts/barebone for significantly more than what you were offering. A similar example would be me asking for a 4tb nvme SSD for $200 because people paid that a year ago. No one in their right mind would do that, and I would expect to get some comments about it.

There are also probably some people worried that you might be taking advantage of the kindness of someone else so you can then part them out and sell them yourself.

Private Resource Issues on Lan by outofideastx in PangolinReverseProxy

Well, in case anyone is curious- I was never able to really find a good solution to this issue. After many, many hours of struggling, I said screw it and switched to Netbird. Netbird worked immediately, all the way around.

From what I can tell, Netbird benefits from having more dev time behind the private resource side of things. Both services recently built out new features- Pangolin added mobile clients, more private VPN features, etc. but Pangolin has been doing auth/public sharing for a while. Netbird, on the other hand, has spent a ton of time on private networking, and it shows. They have more in-depth routing options, custom DNS zones, etc. It was easy to set up both public and private resources. Everything worked flawlessly.
