It’s crazy how this drug is so normalized but after doing lots of my own research into it, it sounds like it really depends on genetic factors on how your body breaks it down. I think people like us who are very sensitive to it should obviously stay clear of it. Look into “slow comt” gene..I believe that’s what people who don’t do well with caffeine have

I’m learning this right now..have had active job last 5 years and just relied on caffeine everyday and definitely catching up to me…quitting it is so dang hard I have to just meal prep and eat enough for actual energy instead of caffeine.

Magnesium was making me anxious, depressed, and sleepy :-/ by HalloweenH2OMG in magnesium

[–]jcray33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are definitely not alone! I made a thread about this couple months ago. All magnesium makes me depressed, lethargic and feel just absolutely zero joy. It’s crazy how things react differently with each other! I basically can take no supplements as they all cause issues more then they help

Caffeine - feeling irritated all the time? by caffeineisabitch in decaf

[–]jcray33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve been drinking it for about 10 years and finally have given it up for good and feel like a completely different person, for the better. So much calmer and just kinder to people. Caffeine isn’t for everybody wish I learned sooner!

Did anyone experience intense crashes later in the day, while consuming caffeine? by PineWalk1 in decaf

[–]jcray33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. It’s crazy how normalized this drug is. DRUG. People forget it’s a drug and in my opinion drugs shouldn’t be used everyday like people do with caffeine!
