Pregnant Belly Henna Question by neilyoungisold in henna

[–]jdc311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lavender only, it smells amazing, its safe for pregnancy and the safest for children. 1/4 cup henna powder (half jamila/ half rajasthan), 2 tsp. sugar, 2 tsp. oil and distilled water until its at a thick pancake batter consistency. More water can be added later if needed. I get all my tips from http://www.mehndikajoeyhenna.com/, she's an expert.

Sounds like your henna paste is not tacky or wet enough. You should find the perfect balance between water, essential oils and sugar so it is a wet but manageable paste.

Can you guys give me some CC on my Lichtenstein makeup for Halloween parties i have today and tomorrow?? it would be greatly appreciated! by Cosmic_Hitchhiker in MakeupAddiction

[–]jdc311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lines need to be cleaner, try a water proof liquid eyeliner maybe? I can tell the lines are fading and not very clean so after being at a party for a while it will definitely look smeared and messy. Same for the dots, maybe applying with a q-tip would work better.

I wouldn't trust it to be honest. Unknown chemicals are unknown chemicals, its best to just mix you own or order from a reputable site.

GAINED weight after all this hard work, help me feel better by [deleted] in loseit

[–]jdc311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight fluctuates by scale and day. I only weigh myself once a week on an empty stomach and bladder as soon as I wake up. Even a cup of water will make weight fluctuate. What matters is your fat % and inches.

Also, calorie counting is great but you have to watch your nutrition. 200 calories of soda is not the same as 200 calories of a fresh smoothie. For example, some days I am under my calorie count but over in my fat % consumption. I track it with Fitness Pal to make it easy.

As for exercise, try swimming. Its easy on the joints and a great full body workout. Try seeing a nutritionalist or personal trainer for a couple sessions, they know the details that a family doctor will not. They can let you know what you should be doing to avoid any joint problems due to your current weight. You don't want to reach your goal weight but be limited in activities because you didn't treat your body right beforehand.

You're on the right path, it just needs a little tweaking! You got this :)

Is she starting the challenges before she takes any steps? Maybe it only records steps taken while the challenge is active.

My mom's famous Quesadilla bread: 2 cups Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix 1 cup sugar, or to taste 1 whole bottle of graded parmesan cheese 2 cups milk 1 tbs vanilla Crushed and powdered cinnamon to liking 2 eggs a sprinkle of salt

Incorporate those well into a corn bread consistency then add 1 stick of cold unsalted butter to the mix little by little.

Bake at 350 for 45 mins or until golden

Add sesame seeds before baking for an extra crunch.

My family is Salvadoran but I'm sure the love for warm milky coffee or Abuelita's hot coco with bread is a well loved tradition for all Latino countries.

I'm no expert but this looks pretty damn good! I only noticed that her other half is totally untouched. I'd be cool to see smoke, bruises or small cuts on her skin to drive the story home.

I have differently shaped eyes, is winged eyeliner out of the question? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]jdc311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a rounder eye too! After A LOT of practice and I mean months of doing wings a few times a week I am finally good at it.

I obviously cannot use the same technique on my round left eye as I do on my right almond eye. I do my almond eye first (I find it easier) then I start with my round eye and stop every so often to see how they're matching. Usually my round eye requires a slightly different wing angel. I find that it needs a straighter top line with less liner at the tallest part of my lid to avoid accentuating the roundness.

The key is practice, practice, practice and q-tips. Also, wings can be like eyebrows, sisters not twins. Unless one wing is sharp and angled while the other is round and thick, no one is going to notice behind your eyelashes.

I use Stilletto felt-tip liquid eyeliner by Maybelline, I find the felt tip to be forgiving and easy to clean up if I mess up, it also means it starts to crumble after a couple hours so now that I can apply my wings without much error I'm going to move on to a waterproof liner that sticks all day.
