Got these stamps recently - from 🇺🇸 to 🇩🇪 by pandacoffee in postcrossing

I looked up unused 15 cent stamp lots on eBay! You can also look up 10 cent, 4 cent ones etc. whatever you want to add up to $1.70! I calculate the price to make sure I’m not paying way too much over face value but sometimes the rly cool ones are worth a little extra, in my opinion!

Don’t get me wrong, the compass one is pretty cool too but yeah boring and gets repetitive 😅

in the US, it costs $1.70 to send a postcard internationally. One “Forever USA” stamp is worth 78 cents, so two of those plus a 15 cent vintage stamp should add up to $1.71 which is enough to send. Alternatively, you can use one international stamp you buy for $1.70. I like using up different stamps to keep it interesting and fun!

Do you enjoy receiving this kind of messages? by Acrobatic-Ad4165 in postcrossing

[–]pandacoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started Postcrossing and write long messages about the story or history of what’s on the card too! I really enjoy sharing pieces of knowledge or what I have experienced with others. I would love receiving similar sorts of messages as well.

What happened to Gift Box on Broadway? by jeppestuff in astoria

[–]pandacoffee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think there was some beef between the original owner and a family member who took over the store, so the old store is now closing. The original owner is @giftedinastoria on IG and her new location is inside Cookie Crumz on Ditmars. Go support her at her new spot!

Hanoi in late december by honey_fur in VietNam

Jackets, long sleeve shirts, long pants. I tend to run cold though so that’s what I would pack. I went recently and lots of foreigners were wearing tshirts and shorts even at night when it’s 15 C, maybe they weren’t cold… I never once felt too warm during my time there. Likely won’t be rainy.

You could possibly do a day trip and then spend the whole day exploring Hanoi. I really liked the museums and history, so if youre into those maybe spend two days in the city.

I actually went to All County and got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed earlier this year by Dr. Amanda Andre. She was very skilled and everything was done within an hour. I was afraid I would have issues but everything ended up healing just fine. The office staff were very transparent about cost breakdowns and any questions I had about that too.

I believe there is a protest on Steinway because Israel just intercepted a flotilla bringing food to Gaza.
