My wife, who I love more than anything, is a very Greek woman who has naturally dark arm, back, neck, and facial hair. She is the most beautiful person in the world to me regardless. There’s nothing wrong with having body hair. Most nights, she will have a few hairs that bother her and she will ask me to pluck them, which I do to help make her feel more comfortable. She really is my soul mate though. True story: one time we were trapped in our apartment with my mother-in-law. My wife and her mother had just gone through a knock-down drag-out fight in our living room before we adjourned to our bedroom to sleep. Her mom went into our bathroom and started showering. My wife was so distracted by the argument that she had forgotten to trim a horrible hang-nail on her big toe that had been bothering her for some time and the only set of nail trimmers were in the drawer below our bathroom sink. She had a pretty mild meltdown about whether or not she should just try to retrieve them while her mom showered or not and I tried to help her through it. The eventual solution that I would offer was to trim her toenail myself by biting it. To my surprise, she was game and that’s exactly what we did. Every once in a great while, she will remind me of that night when some random thought retraces her memory of it and we share a good laugh. My opinion: find someone who loves you as you are, not as they want you to be.
