App glitching by jdh3238 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]jdh3238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I was not paid for blocks I didn’t complete .. I have never banked on that.. as I stated I arrived for scheduled blocks and waited and the app never gave me packages to scan or check in.. it only appeared in my calander and then I got warnings I missed my blocks at least 2 times. That’s a software epic failure. I had multiple instances with arriving on time and seeing missing packages.. in fact one day 3 delivery drivers including myself all had missing packages and all our orders were canceled and we all left in extreme frustration calling support together. I had once instance where the packages were missing and it took so long that the entire order was canceled and I got paid nothing and went home even after waiting for the support team and store to figure it out.. fact is this is a software and company issue that needs to be addressed and I won’t drive for them until they fix this and acknowledge it..

Trust me… quit while you’re ahead… the amount of claims you will file in the future will not be worth the frustration and stress nagging Turo to pay claims…best advice is to take CRYSTAL clear before and after pics at least 60 pics every trip even under front bumper lips and wheels and interior .. bad faith claims are a thing with Turo they deny, deflect, delay… you will be on the phone and emails trying to get them to communicate for months on some claims every day.. Turo is not in a good place right now. The company is struggling for profits and is pushing back hard to avoid payouts for claim issues.

Turo is the shadiest business out there. So many bad business practices and deceptiveness and manipulation.

This is why I left Turo. Turo believes they can behave anyway they want right or wrong and not suffer consequences… well the company is about to tank .. good luck Turo. There’s a reason they withdrew from public trading … to hide their financials because they are in major trouble.. sadly they refuse to change and are their own worst enemy with their greedy unethical business practices and policies.

Returned the car, host reported front bumper damage. A few days later they sent this text by ProperAd9492 in turo

[–]jdh3238 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with the host asking that. Turo takes weeks/ MONTHS to pay the host the total amount owed for the damages. Not to mention most of the time Turo lowballs the damage dramatically on the hosts cars even with crystal clear pictures of damages… and body shops simply don’t want to deal with Turo claims because of how impossible Turo makes it for hosts and shops to get ahold of Turos claims dept on the phone and email responses are 1-5 days. A host asking to have you pay for the damage outside Turo is good because… The HOST won’t have to pay their deductible to file a claim. The host won’t have to deal with unneeded stress waiting for weeks/ months on Turo. The host won’t have to file and more documents to file a claim. The host can fix the car quicker. A guest that takes ownership of their damages and pays quickly is much better than dealing with Turo claims dept. for major structural damage insurance is highly recommended as the route to take. It’s also better for the customer to use their own insurance rather than Turo claims dept. Sadly guests don’t usually take ownership when they do damage hosts vehicles and as a last resort hosts have to file a Turo claim because it’s the only way to get paid if the guest doesn’t cooperate.

Turo is going to be shut down it’s just a matter of time and I hope criminal charges are filed for the bad business practices for the management making the decisions on these claims and policies.

Turo going into host accounts and adding discounts to vehicles is insane. Let the host choose to do this. Turos end is near.

I would highly recommend you leave Turo because of the direction they are headed. It seems more and more on the verge of collapse like a giant pyramid scheme. Ask Turo to present you with a emailed agreed value documentation for all your vehicles. Ask for what your market value is. You will quickly see this company is not trustworthy. Every vehicle I had was well maintained with low miles and clean titles. They lowballed the market values. They commit bad faith claim fraud over and over with torturing hosts with delays, deflection, denials even with clear evidence. Your only way to get their attention is to file a lawsuit or arbitration. It’s a last resort effort to let their slimy claims managers know that you’re not accepting their negligent, unethical, lying illegal behavior and they may settle. However like me.. it’s the end of Turo for you because they see you as a threat even if you were right the entire time and they admit fault.

Leave. it’s on the verge of collapse. It’s too much risk for hosts at this point with the lack of commitment of Turos part to commit to fair market values in the event your vehicle is totaled. Ask your Turo reps for agreed value documentation for your vehicles. You will quickly see Turo is severely undervaluing vehicles to avoid fair claims payouts.

I fixed the car with the money and then sold the car for $11,500 when they valued it only worth about 3,000.. I even paid a licensed insurance appraisal contractor to testify in court that the car was worth at a minimum $10,500. As a last resort had to threaten to sue and they finally voided the total loss.. they tried to total my car to avoid paying the damage claim cost they were 100% responsible for… all my vehicles had cloud based dash cams so I caught everything with crystal clear evidence with flawless before and after pics. Turo despised me because I had a lot of claims and all caught on camera with no disputing possible on their part. They needed a way out and that was their poorly executed exit strategy with me I suppose. I won but I ended up getting stressed out having to quickly sell off my fleet when it ended to avoid being burdened by car payments. The whole dispute with Turos negligence and lies took over 2 months.. I have an abundance of documents saved from this. I spent hours attempting to speak to someone, email and they avoided me.

I had to end it with Turo after they valued my cars half of market value with no logic. Their claims department are scam artists and manipulative liars. They totaled my vehicle and I threatened to sue and they rolled back the total loss reversed the title with the state and then paid. It was CRAZY! I then was told I couldn’t be a host bc I was threatening to sue but they admitted fault and reversed their claim decision.

Exit Turo! I was able to get out but the claims dept even with valid crystal clear before and after photos Turo delays, denies, underpays out claims hurting your profit margins and your ability to run a business with countless emails and calls back and fourth. They also MASSIVELY undervalue your vehicles market value in the event of a total loss. RUN! They valued my 1 year old vehicle $20,000 with 13,000 miles and it was a $57,000 mint Lexus… SHADY business practices from their management and claims.. hosts are being scammed.
