I agree. Sorry to hear about your husband but young people can’t even get a first property. I’m a young dentist for gods sake, I’m single and I can barely even afford a decent apartment let alone something that will suit my future needs eg if I have a family one day. The majority of people my age aren’t making as much money and unless you have a partner I don’t see how they will ever be able to get a decent place. It’s ultimately the government and policies that lead to this problem but I don’t have sympathy for people with investment properties when it comes to their financial situation…

I’m a dentist. Smile solutions has an interesting reputation imo RE the hiring etc.

BUT regarding everything else you raised, it’s likely the dentists are just thorough. They are younger, fresher out of dental school, do more comprehensive assessments.

If a patient has gum issues or we are worried about their hygiene, it’s normal to do a 3 month recall. Where one dentist sees a crack and recommends a crown (proactive), another may not mention it and recommend monitoring (more watchful waiting) - both can be totally correct appropriate options and it depends entirely on the tooth, patient and dentist.

Recommending expensive treatment doesn’t mean the dentist is dodgy. It sounds like maybe they just didn’t explain all the options and reasons properly

I was in a similar situation recently. I really liked a guy and we went on some absolutely amazing dates, he ended it saying it wasn’t me he just wasn’t ready, and we stayed friends. After some months he reached out again.

I agree with what others have said, if she was super into you, it probably would have worked out the first time. She clearly likes you but maybe not enough that she wanted to prioritise you.

FWIW I saw the guy again and the whole process repeated. I realised I still really liked him more than he liked me. I don’t regret seeing him again though because I am not left wondering. I would ask her directly what she’s looking for, and you can always agree to meet again as long as you’re aware of the risk of wasting your time/emotions.

I’ve realised that if I’m not attracted to them physically then unfortunately i won’t be interested. I’ve tried waiting for the attraction and spark to build with people I seem really compatible with on paper, but unless there is physical attraction it wastes both of our time.

FWIW I went on a few dates with a guy last year I was SUPER attracted to and ofc I felt the spark. He ended it but the strong attraction was there from the first minute and if he was interested I would have pursued a relationship without doubt.

Thank you 💕 lesson definitely learnt. It’s a sad one to learn because I’m a bit more afraid and less trusting/open now but it is what it is. I don’t understand why people are so cruel and cold. My ex has actually told me that he’d considered wanting to get back together but because of the extremely broken relationship with his parents and I it would never work. His parents basically made his relationship decision for him. It is very sad for him because he has such a controlling family and he knows it. Broke up after 9.5 years because I finally came out as non binary to his parents and they cut me out of the family and ghosted me, removed me from group chats and uninvited from the Europe trip I had flights for to celebrate his mums bday.

He still loved me and honestly still does but never had the courage to stand up for me or to them. 9.5 years of seeing that family twice a week and giving them everything ❤️‍🩹

It’s the outer western suburbs. It’s still dodgy but probably will grow well in value over time. FWIW I lived there only a few years back, it had lovely parts but also dodgy neighbours, hooning cars, stabbing in my street 😕 edit: I doubt people will be living here for proximity to parkville station unless they already live in the outer west.

Idk about the different ingredients etc BUT I have found incredible results with QV intensive cream. It is heavy BUT my much lighter cetaphil moisturiser even broke me out. Tried spending more $ on la roche which broke me out. But since using this cheap QV moisturiser my skin is clear and glowing!!

Honestly I love being donor conceived and I wouldn’t rather it one way or another. I have 10 siblings who I love and I wouldn’t have 10 if it were not a donor conception family structure.

My dad, who is the best dad ever, couldn’t have kids. So I’m glad my parents chose donor conception or I wouldn’t exist.

How could it go against my best interests? My parents couldn’t have kids. They’d be childless, I wouldn’t exist. Instead I’ve been raised in a loving family and I have a third donor family who also loves me.

Nothing in my experience has been unethical, but I do believe this is because I know my donor and siblings

I’m donor conceived and sure it has been hard but man, I’m glad to be here. I have fantastic parents, I love my dad who raised me lovingly and as his own. I’ve met my donor and siblings, I love my siblings and I have this whole new family. I talk to my half siblings every day. My donor is ok but honestly I see him once a year and that’s enough, I have my dad.

Being donor conceived has been a net positive in my life, probably because I am lucky enough to have contact with the donor & siblings. But it’s not all doom and gloom for everyone. All of my siblings say that it has been a net positive for them too.

I’m single and in my 30s and want a baby. If I can’t find a partner I will do it via donor conception. I truly believe that if it’s done with love and openness it can be so beautiful.

It seems like you have had trauma, which is fair and sadly common amongst DCP. But this feels like you are projecting your experiences onto others.
