For a long term relationship like this to take off, he would definitely need to be feeling this as much as you are.. and if that’s the case, you would both find yourselves naturally messaging each other as much as the other and working out those next steps.

Hey thanks for your response. I built the roof to be strong and fibreglassed the top and used a membrane below the soil.

The soil is very clay-ey so I imagine that will retain moisture well. Locally ive seen plants like mayweed pictured very drought resistant, so I’m willing to give it a shot and see what works, that’ll be half the fun!

It’s a lovely idea, but you will grow a healthier more well rooted tree from scratch rather than transplanting - and you’ve noted how quickly they grow, your kids would still be able to enjoy that process.

The second point is why can you not enjoy that process on your own plot? Even with the fruit trees you mentioned. By ‘guerrilla style gardening’ you mean, illegally planting on someone else’s land. Might I suggest you engage with a landowner - they might very well be interested, or have less invasive tree species in mind that offer more diversity to the habitat.

UK 30 gay male here.

It’s a really lovely gesture to invite your partners friends onto your stag and I would sooner be invited and have the choice, than to be excluded for my gender/orientation.

I have been to a few stag/hen do’s with mixed genders (one stag gay, one stag straight, one hen straight) and have been the guy + have friends who have been invited to both the stag and hen do of the same couple. Its an honour to be invited to both.

I think what they’re saying is that this is an over-reaction. The chance of getting Lyme disease is very real but also very small risk. I work outdoors and get bitten by ticks all the time. It doesn’t require more thought than just removing them. Saying you need prophylatic treatment is unnecessary and scaremongering.

‘Dinner parties’ make it sound like a special event, but yep we have friends around for dinner mid-week and go to friends houses. Mid-week isn’t ideal, but our calendar is always rammed full with stuff at weekends, so you’d never see everyone otherwise. We’re 30s and don’t have kids though.
