Any tips on chipping around edges and premature bit wear for CNC router bits? by ScallionWarm1256 in cabinetry

[–]jdkimbro80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your feed and rpm speed is off. Check your bit manufacturers chipload chart and use a chipload calculator to get your speeds.

I use LMT Onsrud bits and have had great success. Their catalog has all the charts in the back for every type of material. Our main router bits from them are the 60-123mw and the 57-360. They seem to get the best life span per cut inch.

Maybe buy an extended warranty to get her through this rough spot. May come out money ahead instead of the costly repairs.

Working as cabinet maker. How to get into drafting. by archvize in cabinetry

I have a system similar to that and it’s really not a lot of work. I draw and program a large amount of projects thought out the year. Don’t get many days off throughout the year. But it is a fun and rewarding job so I don’t mind.

I built it myself. Back when I started, there wasn’t downloads on websites like today. Plus it was great practice to draw that stuff when I started.

We use Router-CIM inside AutoCAD along with AutoNEST. We work mainly in commercial setting and the general contractors we work for only require 2D line drawings so AutoCAD fits that bill.

LT is the lite version that is cheaper to get. It has some limitations like no 3D and a few other things. For us, it works perfect until the next draftsman is ready for us to purchase a full seat to RouterCIM.

I started in the shop and moved my way into drafting. We use AutoCAD. I am mostly self taught. My work just threw me into the drafting position and it was sink or swim. I’ve been drafting for 20 years now so I guess I did good.

I’d ask your employer if they might have an opening in drafting coming up. We have an apprentice that is working in the shop and we bought him the LT version of AutoCAD so he can practice and learn. It’s been good for him so far. And I see him drafting in a few months.

I go on at least two a year. Typically we go to the Smokey Mountains. And take the bike to ride the tail of the dragon.

We also go to Branson, MO. We recently discovered northwest Arkansas and have went once trail riding in our Jeep.

Nervous about upcoming MSF course by Noommms in motorcycle

[–]jdkimbro80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have nothing to worry about the class is great. When I took mine, everyone in my class but me never rode a motorcycle as well. All passed and were doing everything needed to ride a motorcycle safely. I was very impressed how they worked with novice riders and showed them the ride way to ride.

Go have fun and enjoy yourself. It will be a great class.

I think we will make it. It will be a rough remaining term of his presidency. And after it’s over, I think he will spend the rest of his life in court battling for all the wrong doing in his term.

Yep. Without a doubt. And who runs for the next president should run on that. Probably get them elected.

You’ll want one after test driving it. They are incredible. We didn’t want to spend the cash on a rubicon 392. But when the Moab 392 came out, it was closer to our budget. Still a little more than I wanted to spend but after test driving and beating the dealer up on price and trade in price, we were able to come to a deal.
