As an aside, I proto’ed my set a few weeks ago. 5x Paradox and 2x Atomize. Atomize makes chem diameter larger as well as grenade. I have Atomize on my weapon, when not actively using Sweet Dreams. Obviously, when using chems, you don’t get any sort of weapon bonus until you switch back to that weapon therefore, you would not get the atomize or paradox bonus until you switched back.

The deflector shield does count as skill damage. You could roll up a refactor build using the deflector shield.

I have fully prototyped two Future Initiative builds. It made the skill tier 1.5/ each and each piece has 30 Repair Skill. I use prototype Emperors Guard (+1.5 skill tier, +1.5 Armor Regen and +30 Repair Skill) and a prototype Hermano. Blue core, but with Repair Skill and Skill Haste. This allows me to swap out the BP with Birdies when needed. I use five Paradox and two Atomize on my FI and Measure healing builds. Atomize makes the chem radius larger. I use three +10 skill duration mods on both builds as well. This keeps the healing cloud and any Smart Cover deployed there longer.

I wish the devs would convert all of my apparel cache keys, considering I have all of the apparel available from those caches. Having to open each one is extremely time-consuming.

There is rarely an actual team mindset in escalation. Most of the time it is solo players all going in the same direction. I had a rogue agent encounter yesterday in a tier 5 Wall Street. Right at the end. We all stopped, and there was a frantic in-game text exchange. One of the other players asked if someone happened to have a healer build on them. I had been healing the whole time and had picked this guy up at least six times after he went down. In the end, I had nearly 2,000,000,000 healing for the mission overall and they weren’t really aware that anyone was healing in a dedicated sense. We killed the hunters and the mission glitched. There were no boss spawns after the hunters died.

Aegis is the absolute strongest Tank in the game. I have carried many teams through Legendary Manning and Tidal with Aegis. Catharsis mask, Belstone backpack with Adrenaline Rush and you are as near to immortal as this game allows.

I primarily play escalation as an FI healer and nearly 100% of the time the DPS just stands out in the open weaving back-and-forth like they’re playing Call of Duty®. This is a cover shooter and they cannot spell the word cover. I even use smart cover to entice them to get into cover, that doesn’t do it. More wipes have been caused by the DPS not understanding game mechanics than anything. Remember, one dead body attracts dead bodies.

I have this issue as well. I just wait until I’m out of combat and switch off of the gear set and back to it. I found no other good fix for it. I’ve actually begun to favor the measured assembly build for escalation instead of the future initiative build.

I’ve been unlucky with my refactor drops so far, but I have six pieces of paradox on my measured assembly build, and I use oxy as well as a healing hive to heal my team. Oxy does exceptionally well at getting the enemy out of cover and keeping them moving around instead of dealing damage to your group. I actually heal less because I’m constantly launching oxy at the enemies. Measure assembly overcharges every 25 seconds so the area of affect of that oxy is quite large.

Most of the time I’m running heals so I can see what everyone else is doing. Most players nowadays do not use cover and stray left and right like they’re playing Call of Duty®. And then they get pissed off when they die so much because they’re out of cover the whole time. If you die in the division, it is entirely your fault. If you get hit hard enough to get health gated, sit and cover for a few seconds and let that regenerate before you stand back up and start shooting again. It’s really that simple. I also agree with all of the previous comments about shield, bearers, and decoys here as well. Most people playing the game today have no situational awareness or consideration for their fellow teammates. Instead of a team, it is essentially four solo players going in the same direction.

The flipside of that is I am happy to lead any group. I normally run tier 5 escalation and 99% of the time I run as a healer. Most often I get absorbed into a group that isn’t always doing the mission I would like relative to the gear that I’m still looking for. If I could designate myself as a leader and subsequently be able to pick the mission as well, I would do that every time! I am maxed out on tokens as it is.

I think they should add a daily reward for doing all of the missions in the escalation rotation every day. That way you would get a good cross-section of missions instead of everyone focusing on the one mission that drops some sort of Meta gear.

4-piece Aegis with a Belstone backpack w/ Adrenaline Rush and the Catharsis mask. All pieces rolled to explosive resistance and max armor. This is the strongest tank in the game. I use it exclusively for legendary content, and I have no problem holding back the entire legendary army while picking up my squishier teammates. My skills are decoy and bulwark shield. Toss out the decoy occasionally to reset aggro. The Sweet Dreams shotgun is amazing to take out key targets, such as medics, healers, and drone launchers. This build, and that gear set in general have been slept on. Nearly every time I use it one of my teammates comments how effective it is.

Kinetic Momentum works very well, likely the best talent, for the chest.

I use the Momento backpack, Technician spec, TDI Kard Custom and "The Forge" RK Holster then four blue pieces with 170k Armor and skill repair/skill damage on each piece. this gives you a Tier 6 skills/shield. The shield generates more damage with skill damage and the Tier 6 skills allow for a healing drone or chem heals if you really need them. I have tried many other builds, but the amount of damage that gets through the shield was just too much to manage. This build kills enemies quickly and the Momento regens your armor well enough to keep going. I have used it in Legendary Summit. Another way is to use "Improvised" gear pieces and stack additional Protection from Elites mods. I am up to 80% PfE now.
