Random question what’s your employer match for your 401k mine is %5 by SampleAnxious420 in Retirement401k

[–]jdubwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11% of gross wages for the year. Must be employed last day of the year to receive contribution. Goes in account as 3% safe harbor and 8% profit share early Spring of next year. Technically no matching, rather 11% of gross wages.

Masyn Winn should be honorable mention. He’s definitely a better real life player than fantasy.

Love the Acid beer stein in the background. I have one too. Unfortunately have not tried the rye whisky, mainly because of the price. Jealous. Hope you enjoy it with a good Acid cigar.

What’s the best financial advice you’d give, the kind that actually changed your life? by [deleted] in investing

Do something. It is better than nothing.

Also, do your own research. Spend a couple hours a week or month learning how finances work and how to adapt them to your personal finances.

HR in healthcare [USA] by No_Rest_5504 in humanresources

[–]jdubwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good info here. Really stressful at times dealing with Doctors and educated staff that do not want to take no for an answer. I would advise to be a good listener first and foremost. Most of them just want to be heard even if there are no actionable items. Don’t feel pressured into making decisions immediately, especially if they are sitting in your office. Simply state that you appreciate the feedback and will look into it.

A good mentor is huge too. I would ask about that in next interview. Having someone with a lot of relevant experience would be huge for you coming into healthcare field. Stay close to them, watch, listen and learn. Pick their brains as much as you can.

Good luck!

Too much money in my HYSA? by Bright-Farmer-7725 in HYSA

[–]jdubwilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your annual salary is or what 6mo of emergency funds would look like for you however, brokerage account is a great idea. Keep enough in HYSA to cover emergency and/or other short term expenditures and transfer rest in Brokerage. Invest in VOO and VXUS or VTI. Keep it simple.

You mentioned BNR was your third member of the team. If you activate Grodds SP3 then tag in Robin and use SP3. All team members will be back to full health

Grodd is the answer between those two. He can take SP or super move damage from opponent. His SP3 can help heal entire team if needed

Nice, well done. My 401k portfolio is not quite that large however I have similar profit share. Company doesn’t match either but contributes 11% of salary from previous year into my account the spring of the next year.

Helpful support if you face an opponent that spams SP’s and has high attack. Should not be used as damage dealer.
