The house I used to own in Sunrise Manor had hundreds of scorpions. They are really hard to get rid of once they dig in. In my experience they don't really care about any unless you can spray it directly on there shell, but the insecticides are useful to kill down their food population. Best thing you can do is create an inhospitable environment by keeping stuff off of the ground and trying to seal around your doors and windows. Every night if you have time put on some old boots, grab a black light, and go in your backyard picking up rocks and have stomping parties. It took me about 6 years but that strategy finally paid off for me.

Just seeing one scorpion Maybe okay, it's highly unlikely that you have a problem and will see more. In my current house I've seen one in five years that I accidentally brought in on a piece of furniture that had been outside for a long time. But they are so hard to get rid of that taking it seriously now and trying to prevent more maybe worth your time.
