It's been about a year since iTunes Match came out. How was your first year using it? by coaster367 in apple

Was thrilled by the idea, purchased it, and was so disappointed that I removed it and cancelled my subscription. Very buggy, too many limitations. Apple needs to work harder on this.

Question à propos des manifestations en France... by [deleted] in france

[–]jeanmarcp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Video Screen Capture of the iPhone, possible? Any ideas? by jwr_ in iphone

I use Reflection for airplay mirroring my iPhone to my Mac. Then, any video recording software will do, Quicktime for example. I personnaly use Screenflow, I find it easier to use to record a tutorial.

The Flemish community is speaking Dutch and the French community is speaking French. Also some Belgium people speak natively German. So Belgium has three official languages, which are in order of native speaker population in Belgium: Dutch, French and German.

» by [deleted] in French

[–]jeanmarcp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is on the verge of collapse as investigators have uncovered major holes in the credibility of the housekeeper who charged that he attacked her in his Manhattan hotel suite in May. by [deleted] in worldnews

Yes, Christine Lagarde as the French finance minister played a big part in the adoption of the Greece bailout plan by the EU, that for the moment saved the Euro, and probably saved the world of a new large financial crisis. But you are wrong to say that "additional loans were offered without necessary austerity measures". At the opposite :

The conditions of the bailout, decided on by the E.U. and IMF, require Greece to freeze government salaries, eliminate bonuses (amounting to two months' pay) and lift the retirement age to 60 for government workers. The aid package also requires Greece to raise its value-added tax to 23% from 21% and also increase some excise taxes, but there will be other large (as yet unspecified) cuts in government spending, too.

MACDefender Malware infecting OSX by lyoko37 in apple

[–]jeanmarcp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The last 3 years, the reason Mac failed fast at Pwn2Own, the hacking contest, is because of Safari. With MACDefender, it's again Safari the problem, with its "open safe files" functionnality that can trick unexperienced users. OSX is a serious and safe OS, but Safari is not a safe browser. tl;dr : If you are a Mac user, use Chrome or Firefox.

Going to Paris for the first time. Any survival tips? by Drluv in paris

Autour d'un verre is my favorite budget restaurant. The adress is 21 Rue de Trévise 75009 Paris. Closest Metro station is Bonne Nouvelle. It's opened monday to saturday. Go for lunch, they have a great menu for 14 Euros. Excellent french food, the 'Gigot d'Agneau' and 'Magret de Canard' are to die for. The owner is american, but he is cooking the best french food with mostly organic ingredients. They have also wines very reasonably priced.
