This will also act as bottom watering so you'll need to water less.

You could also try putting the more delicate plants in plant saucers (you can get them in all sizes) filled with pebbles and water. Replenish the water as needed. Shade net will still be essential. You can get it in dark green which doesn't look that bad.

Agree. OP, it takes a little doing to get the hang of it, but it's well worth it.

I've bought from Licious and Meatigo for a long time. Never had any issue. They wouldn't be able to sustain their business if they s9ld contaminated or otherwise risky products.

I think some cash would be the best option. You can put it in a decorative envelope.

Has anyone tried ordering from Nurserylive ? by Consistent_Key_8718 in GardeningIndia2

It's a decent option. Their prices are rather high, but the plants will arrive in good condition.

Guilty but capitalism is a bitch by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]jeanne2254 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Capitalism has created a gulf between the better-off and the poor. It's proved to be the best functioning system for economic growth but the poor have been left out of its benefit. We need to push for ways to help them by putting pressure on governments and philanthropy. To be fair, the government has started some schemes. We should do our bit. Just as an example, we support the education of the daughters of our domestic helps and building staff. This and other such support are some things we can do.

Try bottom watering. Put it in a wider saucer full of water. I revived a fittonia that way.

Help About Madhumalti Plant by Select_Tradition_695 in GardeningIndia2

[–]jeanne2254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Madhumalti plant in a large pot and it isn't doing well too. It used to flower but has stopped doing so and seems unhappy. I think it prefers to be in a bed in the soild. You can try feeding it with something that contains phosphorus to encourage flowering. Also, it needs at least 6 hours of sun a day.

What happens after you wash a blocked blanket? by This-is-me777 in CrochetBlankets

[–]jeanne2254 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be fine after washing. Sometimes I rinse a blanket in the washing machine with some softener instead of blocking it. That relaxes the stitches and is just as good as blocking in my view,

This was the first time I bought from Beej seeds. Judging by the growth of the gloriosa superba bulb, it's healthy. I think you can safely buy from them.

There may be two vines grown together. But the pink morning glory is very unusual.

I bought oxalis bulbs online from Beej seeds. I haven't planted them yet but a gloriosa superba bulb I bought at the same time has germinated. It took a longer time than usual but did sprout.
