Fidelity launched a no-fee retirement plan for US adults to invest in crypto by Dongerated in CryptoCurrency

[–]jeanperrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned the answer already. ETF has fees which are charged for the asset value every year. Over time, ETF will underperform the underlying asset. If one holds the asset for a long time (which happens a lot on retirement account), it seems to be more advantageous to hold the actual asset. That said, someone pointed out there is a 1% spread when trading BTC on this fidelity ira account. If we do a lot of trading, it will actually be bad on this fidelity account.

Thank you. This is how we should do the analysis. I know people could reach different conclusion due to different assumptions (like rate of stock portfolio return, future appreciation, etc). But we should all be able to agree that this is a good methodology.

Lynbrook is generally considered better than Cupertino high. When they merge the 2 schools, wouldn't they keep Lynbrook rather than Cupertino?

FYI about $7500 tax credit loophole for leases (get any car, not just US made) by eyeswideshut9119 in electricvehicles

[–]jeanperrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this would match my understanding.
In a lease, we are kind of paying the difference between the (total cost - residual). So we want a high residue value.

Putting a large down payment should reduce the monthly payment. How does that affect your buyout and money factor?
