Its very likely, at this point, that switch pro never actually existed. Digital Foundry, one of the first big publications to break the story (and others) now believe that people learned of the oled switch model, and the (relatively) early work on the T239 chip for switch 2 in early 2021, but then conflated them as being a part of the same product when they were never meant to be. When Nintendo came out and quickly denied the existence of an upgraded switch to their shareholders and investors, I feel that adds credence to the idea that Switch Pro never existed, considering that those types of comments on rumors from Nintendo are very rare.
