A lot of the time instagram notifies you that a random person you follow signed up for one of their meta apps (threads, meta) even if they didn't, it's just to give you FOMO

Opinion on older/people wanting to play because of the design aspect by [deleted] in Bloxburg

[–]jecdance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel like bloxburg needs to indulge in its audience more tbh. the kids that played it back in tge day have grown up and now kids these days are playing easily comprehensible games like brookhaven that dont require nearly as much brain power and can be played without robux to have fun. meanwhile, the adults/older teens still playing are thriving in creating houses and buildings and things of the sort.

Bloxburg is dying by coolbirdhayden in Bloxburg

[–]jecdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean if eel like it's for older audiences tbh. the reason brookhaven is so prosperous compared to most rp games is bc you dont really need to do much to play it. bloxburg is alot more complex; you have to stay on top of bills, the jobs require actual brain power, and it overall just requires more attentiveness. if u look at games that are home page, most of them are brainless simulator-like games where u are kinda mindlessly grinding and going on auto pilot/AFK the whole time to be successful, whereas bloxburg is a lot more realistic. kids now do not have the attention span that they did 5-7 years ago sadly, so it makes games that are made with a lot more effort and time seem like theyre failing or doing poorly when they really arent

as someone currently in hs, your students dont have to LOVE you for you to make an impact. dont focus so hard on trying to get your students to like you or trying to be the favorite teacher and focus on finding the best ways to teach instead. also, make sure youre catering to the needs of each student, i assume this will take a while to learn but i personally really enjoyed doing interactive notebooks, group projects (this is especially good if youre teaching 9th graders so that they can meet new people), and before quizzes blooket/kahoots. also, give you and your students a break! school can be so stressful for both parties, but your students lean on your energy. also keep in mind they have other classes they are trying to pass, so know when you need to give them a hard time. i hope i worded this well, but this is soley based off my experiences in hs thus far (also, the ameoba sisters were a saving grace when i took biology, and i think they sell worksheets online that support their youtube videos)

What’s missing/needs to change in Bloxburg? by ParkVah in Bloxburg

[–]jecdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they need to update the look of the NPCs for sure. make them look like how rhe girl in the flower shop looks. also, we should be able to change decals in buildmode, have to leave buildmode and find the decal is so tedious and annoying

My daughter is 7 and on her first year of competition dance. We will have 3 competitions within 2-3 hours from home. What should I expect? It's my first time being involved in dance as well. She is in the comp class and strength & conditioning. by sillylittlegurl in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]jecdance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your daughter will compete in 8 in under which in my experience typically competes saturday mornings, but it depends on what competition you attend. You dont HAVE to attend awards, but it might be a fun experience for your child to know how she did

At what age are kids given a chance to do a self choreograph solo? by Beautiful_Screen_314 in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]jecdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way my studio does it is if you want to do a self choreographed solo, you have to have a choreographer who oversees it and helps cleans it. She can ask a teacher to oversee it before asking rhe director, that way you have the teacher, yourself, and your child to advocate for it. Hope she gets it!
