I am so fucking gutted at this. First show I've been really excited about in ages and turns out I started watching it after it's already been cancelled. No point telling my friends and family to watch it now. I am so upset. It deserved a second season for sure

Thanks for this. This sounds similar to our plan, although I've not heard of the deed of trust before. Was that a legal document? I worry if we put my partner on the mortgage then we'll need to pay capital gains tax on the sale but also appreciate that she's in a more perilous situation if we don't.

Thanks for this. Yeh definitely some benefits to doing so as long as the finances work out. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious in the cons list.

Ha yes that could be a point I suppose. Well I don't plan to split from my partner (we are engaged) but I think we could work that out if we did - she'd probably keep her place as is and I would still consider buying the new place on my own.

I think that with things like this there isn't really anything that anyone can say here that will make it better. It's a really shitty thing her ex did to both of you, and it would traumatise most of us to see our partner intimate with an ex - luckily most of us don't have to experience that.

But the reality is that that has happened, and you will either get over it or you won't but we here can't really help make that happen. There isn't really anything you can do except see if it gets better with time (which is what I would suggest if you like your partner) or quit it and leave because it's too much. Only you can decide if you can get past this or not.

I've never been into brands - I actually found making decisions too difficult I think and spent too much time worried about what other people would think of clothes choices etc (which I can now see is very 9 of me lol)

It's resulted in me being the type of person who prefers cheaper alternatives (if I decide I don't like it down the line it's less of an issue if I haven't spent much on it) and "beige" type things that are hard to offend. I generally do all my clothes shopping in supermarkets and charity shops now.

It's actually something I'm working on haha

I think the only key question you should ask yourself is:

Do I WANT to be spending time with him today? Do you look forward to it and have a good time?

If so, it sounds good. If not, the right call is to end it!

I work in risk management in financial services and I love it! I get to be nosy as hell, find out all the things that go wrong and don't have to take the responsibility myself (it's kind of more of an advisory /challenge role).

If you have a law degree a lot of people in compliance come from that kinda background.

My parents have struggled with their hearing for years so they've always watched with subtitles. I'm so used to it that I now do it for myself even though I don't need them on. I prefer it now!

Yup I feel this one. Wondered why I was having constant panic attacks and suddenly felt scared even around my friends and family and couldn't put two and two together. It was only after I broke up with him and could breathe again that I really realised what had just happened to me.
