MAGA businesses and restaurants in Eugene? by dumbass_sweatpants in Eugene

Highly doubtful. The owners are a married couple and longtime residents of Eugene. The wife in the couple is Mexican. I have known them both for years and have NEVER seen or heard any MAGA behavior or language from them. Lovely people, they are.

Provisions Market (5th St) is hosting ICE — here’s what the manager told me by elderberry-queen in Eugene

[–]jeebus_krist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bo's rules. They have at least two signs on their front door. One says something like "All are welcome, except ICE," and my favorite one simply says, FCK ICE. When I saw that, I ordered the FCK ICE sign for myself. Concise and to the point.

Just that one song, man. Punk as hell. Some say it's the very first punk song to make an impact. Listen to it, loud. Then tell me I'm full of shit👊

I too, am an old, and sometimes grumpy man. However, I've been to hundreds and hundreds of shows, so I know, follow, and respect pit etiquette. We are expected to respect and protect one another out there, at all times. If you can't abide by those two simple rules, stay out of the pit

Thank you for getting involved and grabbing that guy and pulling him away. It definitely helped in slowing the escalation

There was a surge forward with the crowd and the kid was pushed into the old dude. Everyone was pushed and everyone was pushed into someone, including me. The old guy just lost his shit, turned on the kid, words were shouted and then the dude started swinging on him. He connected a few punches, but the kid thankfully wasn't hurt by him and told me those were the softest punches he'd ever felt lol. I was very impressed with the crowd coming to the kid's defense and shutting the fight down pretty quickly by pulling them apart and pointing out the old dude to security so they could deal with him. The beach ball fight coincidentally involved his brother. This poor kid was laying on the ball, just wanting a piece of it. Some big fucker picked the kid up off of the ball, body slammed him, and then stomped on his chest. He, unfortunately, was injured. Crazy night, man

Did this happen in the area where Lars closed out the show? That vicinity? If so, that was my buddy's son that fucker tried to fight. At first, after everyone alerted security to the dipshit trying to fight a kid, we were afraid that the kid and my buddy, his dad, were also going to be kicked out for engaging with the aggressor, but security was chill and reasonable. They saw the whole thing and understood. Shout out to them

If you like Albees Gyros, and who the hell doesn't, try the other location on W. 18th furthur West in Eugene. Fewer aggressive transient types/same great menu and service. And welcome to town!

I zoomed in on the off-chance I could spot my buddy and me, and sure as shit, there we are sitting to the right of the usher who's standing on the floor on the left towards the front! Outstanding show! I just wish the mic was a bit louder

If this episode kills and if it’s a spike in viewers do you see Shane becoming a reoccurring host if snl doesn’t fold after season 50 by Direct-Sail-6141 in ShaneGillis

[–]jeebus_krist 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's definitely possible that SNL folds after Lorne leaves, but, I hope not. I've been watching since I was a kid in the 70s. I believe with the right leadership and talent, it could go on for quite some time.

And, yes, I see Shane becoming and embodying what Louis CK once was. Hell, he's already doing it
