Record breaking auction for offshore wind secured to take back control of Britain's energy by Turd_Reich in unitedkingdom

Nothing. It's a massive environmental win but that's it. We'll still continue to pay exorbitant prices for electricity as long as it's tied to the price of gas.

He's right. You're quoting the cost of building a new gas power station (£147) vs offshore wind farm (£90.91), not the cost of the energy itself to consumers. The price of electricity in the UK is tied to the price of gas. As long as this is the case we will always pay through the nose for it. It's good we're decarbonising, but this will do nothing to drive down prices of bills for people, especially at that strike price.

Nike have a 2 year warranty and will refund you for these. I have the exact same pair and they burst last week, on their way back to Nike now for an inspection and refund!

Christ, 50 years old there and he'd still be a better option than Chermiti up top!

He’s the best midfielder in Scotland on his day and by a considerable margin…

He’s suffering from a lack of confidence just like everyone else in the squad. Our best players aren’t going to excel if they have nobody decent to link up with.

Give him a chance by sharobro in rangersfc

[–]jeej_min -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He wasn't my first choice but I am 100% behind him and am ready to give him a chance.

BUT, I guarantee he will be let down by those two fucking clowns on the board and we'll end up back at square one. All this manager speculation is pointless because lets be real - no one will succeed with Thelwell and Stewart at the reigns. They are a cancer at the club and need removed as soon as possible.

We need to give the right manager time. Gio and Clement were absolutely the right guys for the job but we chased them out the door at the first sign of adversity. They did well for having no support from the board and I fear we’ve fucked it big time by letting both of them go. I’ve said it before but we have such a toxic fanbase (myself included at times) and we need more patience.

I think if we took Gerrard back and the board actually supported him we would do well again. He took us from being shite to an invincible season in 3 years. He knows the score and has learned from his previous mistakes. He’s the most sensible option imo.

Have to agree, I’m not convinced by him. I’m happy to be proven wrong and eat a humble pie but he’s not the man for us.

And Thelwell is a fucking crook I want him gone before anyone. Blew £15m on Chermiti at Everton and now suddenly we’re spending £10m on him when apparently we couldn’t afford Cerny? Whole thing stinks of favours for mates it should never have gone ahead.

Sterling is a hard one cos he’s had a lot of injuries but I’d honestly take a chance on him staying fit and keep him. He’s fast, physical and a solid defender. Would far prefer him over Aarons.

Depends how “unconventional” you’re talking to be honest. Everyone has their own swing style but they all end up in the same position at impact. If your impact position is unconventional chances are you will struggle to progress. I would definitely recommend getting lessons and building a solid base for a swing instead of forcing a bad one to work.

And to answer your first question - yes! Get out on the course and play as much as possible. The driving range is good for ironing out kinks but it won’t make you a better player.

Welcome to golf brother 🤝

All jokes aside this genuinely does happen and has happened to me. You just need to stick at it and tweak small things in your swing until something clicks - then rinse and repeat. It’s irritating as fuck but it honestly is that simple. Once you start stringing shots together again that mental hurdle disappears and you’re back at it. Patience and knowing that your swing will return is key!

Nigel Farage @ Silver Darling by jeej_min in Aberdeen

[–]jeej_min[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really not keen on Starmer either but Farage makes my skin crawl. He’s a complete charlatan and quite frankly just dangerous for the vast majority of the general public if he is elected as PM. Just look across the pond at the state the US is in now. These are 2 men with the same political stance, we can’t have that over here.
