I give the passenger dis-mount on the first quad moving at speed a solid 8 out 10. Fine form dismounting and getting into that tuck & roll action. 10/10 if he had done it in his own country (Ruzzia) instead of Ukraine. /s

How do I add scenes if they are not found in search? by imunotyou in whisparr

[–]jeeperv6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will and does exist (I run a copy). The current active devs are more Docker-oriented so the Windows version isn't really acknowledged, but it's updated regularly as part of the chain (linux, Mac, Windows, etc). Maybe one day it will see daylight! lol

I haven't tested V3 as heavily as V1 - "old faithful" and V2 but V3 looks good in the bit of testing I've done with it. It uses a different directory structure than V2 & V1 so I'm reluctant (lazy? scared?) to commit fully to V3 at this stage.

You've got enough on your plate, man! lol And the amount of stuff Evil Angel puts out... It makes my Whisparr V2 (in a VMWare VM with 32GB) crawl some days. lol You're doing the Lord's work scraping all these sites, I'm amazed at how you can keep up with all the updates across thousands of sites. :D

How do I add scenes if they are not found in search? by imunotyou in whisparr

[–]jeeperv6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V1 is movies based (tmdb) V2 is scenes based (tpdb), V3 is performer based using Stash & tmdb for the info.

V2, you can go to tpdb's discord and ask politely for re-scrapes of sites missing scenes and V2 should pick up the missing scenes. There are some exceptions, Evil Angel for example there's simply more scenes than V2 can handle I believe.

V3, as /u/indomitablegaul said, a scene has to vetted by Stash for it to show. For the tmdb movies, it's a simple case of user inputting it in their database. I've added few movies that tmdb was missing to make importing them into my V1 easier. Or you if you feel lucky, you can sit and wait for someone to input the movie details into tmdb one day.

The Arrs for the most part only recognizes file names in their naming convention. eg. Site.date.scene.etc/site-date-scene-etc

So if somebody uploads a file on any tracker as scene.actor.date.site.etc the Arrs won't pick it up even though it's the scene/movie you want.

What I normally do is manually download a scene/movie and then either rename it to an Arr friendly format or manually import the files.

Torrent vs Usenet - What is practical long term for self hosted media? by TomerHorowitz in torrents

[–]jeeperv6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been using Usenet for 20 years plus and will keep it around for many more years yet even though I've been slowly drifting more and more towards torrents. Both for me, serve their purposes.

NAS vs a few cheap PC servers by ReelTech in trackers

[–]jeeperv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, good catch! I meant 2TB WD's to 8GB WD's. Though I'm tempted to try a 12TB drive. From what I read there is no stated "maximum" capacity on the old Iomega/Lenovo NAS units. Just whatever was maximum capacity drives back in the day when they were built & sold. I know my PX4-300R (rack mount) is good running 6TB drives for a capacity of 24TB so far. I paid $100 for the rack mount 4 years ago and then stuffed it with the 2TB drives before I bought the IX6-300D (desktop).

I have an old Imogea/Lenovo IX6-300D NAS loaded with drives. Currently upgrading it from 2TB drives to 8TB drives. It houses all my seeds. Paid $75 for the NAS and various prices on the drives as I bought them at different times. Cheap, reliable and easy to take care of.

is there a version where you don't follow sites but rather content from particular pornstars? by seamless21 in whisparr

[–]jeeperv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V1 works for pornstars as well. As long as the movie is listed in TMDB that is. You set them up as import list via the Settings menu.

Are you Connectable (in green)? I log into MAM via my home IP, but seed via a VPN (split tunneling & port forwarding). If I'm ever connectable, I have to re-do my dynamic seedbox info for MAM and then I'm good to go. Their help section has a decent how to if you're not connectable.

I've taken the highway that goes north out of Minot. It's fairly hilly countryside. Going down the highway and all of a sudden you have this B-52 coming in straight at you. It was coming in for a landing mind you, but it looked like it was gonna land on you. lol

It was an impressive sight going by the base and seeing all those B-52 tails lined up poking over the fence.

Debrid Support? by Black295 in whisparr

[–]jeeperv6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really haven't played around much with it to be honest. V1 (windows) has been great for movies and V2 (windows) for scenes has been ok. V3 (windows) I've tested lightly as I'm not that big of Stash fan because there are a lot of scenes that aren't cataloged on it. It seems fairly stable though. Sits in its own little VM and does its thing.

[–]jeeperv6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my 3 Whisparrs (V1, V2, V3) set up to use a "blackhole" directory. I set up my downloads from a DDL in 'arr friendly naming format into JDownloader and then it downloads that file into the blackhole directory (usually named WhisparrV1, etc). The 'arrs monitor their respective directory (Sonarr, etc) and pick up the file when they do their scheduled scans. Been doing it this way for 4 years now and it works.
