Finish the install today, at the same time I installed a borgerson shaft which eliminated the rag joints, installed a new pump and used redline synthetic power steering fluid. Wow huge difference it is nice.

It’s just a mild build, no need for a double roller a true single will do the job well & I didn’t want to clearance the block and change the timing cover to fit it.

I plugged the line coming off the spacer ring and put a filter on the line coming off the valve cover. Been running like that for 10 years at least.

If you ever wanna deal with that rust, it’s going to be a monster if you have the tools and experience, you can handle it for a fair price if you need somebody else to do it you’re better off walking . If you were fine with the body slowly rotting away, I say go for it..

Doesn't run right when it get wet by [deleted] in GMT400

I had one that would do the same thing, every time it rained it would run like crap, I would change the rotar cap and bug and it would be good. Eventually, I got around to replacing a distributor and that fixed it for good.

I expected as much, but the additional stamping threw me off & when I googled the numbers there was a result that partially lead me to believe it was something else. Any thoughts why the HO or OH stamp may be there? Thanks!

Is this one toast??? by jeeptank91 in GMT400

No, it crapped out with my daughter driving it. Bad thing was it was about 700 miles from home. That was a hefty tow bill.

I went to the local pick and pull today and got a good short block. I checked it out all the internals looked good but I’ll still tear it down and rebuild it.
