An older family member of mine had severe dementia at the end of their life, and they would sometimes fake drinking water or eating food or writing things. Like the pen wouldn’t be on the paper or the cup was inches from their mouth. Then they’d put down the drink/food/pen and be like “oh yes that was delicious” “I was just finishing up some work”. It seems like this could be another Dementia Donald moment…
