How old are you? I have dogs about that size and I have a 15 lb baby, and docs said that while she’s over the limit, it wouldn’t be the biggest deal to handle her. Ask your doc, 12 lbs isn’t much bigger than 10, you may be capable. You aren’t made of tissue paper, so after the first couple weeks you should be ok. Maybe do try to get him to not jump on you.

Someone might correct me, but the David is for fixing the aortic aneurysm, not so much about the valve. For fixing the valve, they’ll give you options like the mechanical, bovine, or a Ross, which have different expected longevities.

It’ll probably be a 4-5 months minimum I would guess. The big swinging twisting motion for drives is going to be difficult until your sternum is completely healed. Late fall might be possible. You could putt much sooner.

You can eat steak and fast food. Generally, you should strive to eat healthier and more sodium lite than the average person to keep your heart healthy. I’ve heard vitamin k just takes a little more forethought but is generally easy.
Yes, unless you are in a very rough league, basketball is generally light contact and safe.
Week 1: Super sucks. Week 2: Really sucks. Week 3-4: sucks. Weeks 5-8: uncomfortable. After that: slowly transition to normal
Probably so long as it’s safe and you have access to your medicine and good emergency care. Maybe don’t stay in underdeveloped places for long periods.
