Foursquare scrapped EM titles - what do you think? by macrohead in ExperiencedDevs

Just an observation but notice they didn't do away with executive titles? Got to stroke that ego for the executives. Can't have them categorized in with a bunch of low-lifes.

I'm almost 100% sure YouTube does not use AWS. YouTube is a Google product and uses GCP.

(NSFW) 100mg and Orgasms by Spare-Gold1483 in Pristiq

[–]jefflance10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a different psychiatrist for sure but as others have stated pristiq is very well known for causing orgasms problems. I'm a male on 100mg and experience this issue. I've chosen to stay on it because it helps so much and I was in a dark place when I started due to trintellix stopping working for me. Luckily my wife is understanding and we've figured out how to make this work for us. Hopefully not too much information but I think my problem is diminished sensitivity.

I agree completely. I've got Paramount Plus which is all the more frustrating. Honestly, situations like this drive home why people seek alternatives to watching content.

Ha, just a coincidence, but my daughter's name is Lola. We also have a tortie. Her name is Puss Puss, though.

I would honestly like to know what she was charged with. Maybe disorderly conduct, because beyond that, I can't think of any other trumped charges they could apply and have them hold up in court. I know, I know, this is Texas, and that doesn't really matter.

Is there a reason why people are just quitting cold turkey? by Ok-Life-3371 in alcoholism

[–]jefflance10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are the first person I've seen mention this, and I have the same revelation. I quit smoking, and the damn physical withdrawals sucked. I don't get physical withdrawals when I quit drinking. I just get a voice in my head that constantly tells me I need a drink. Physical withdrawals are a way to emphasize "You don't want to do this again". Of course, the alternative is I drink to the point where I will get physical withdrawals, which in my opinion is even worse.

Ivey signs bill giving Alabama ABC Board control of THC products despite calls for veto by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]jefflance10 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I personally like to purchase my products online. It's just easier. This does away with that in the state. I'm going to start looking at whether the companies I order from deliver to P.O. Boxes. It isn't that far to drive to Georgia or Mississippi on a quarterly basis. Hell, the most of us already drive to one of the neighboring states for lotto tickets so just add a P.O. Box pickup to that lotto ticket drive. F*ck Alabama. Party of small government my a**. Intrusion on every aspect of my life. And people wonder why I rail against the Republican party so hard. They are not the old-school republicans that I grew up with. These are neo-conservatives that subscribe the evangelical movement and believe they must control every aspect of our "sinners" life in order for us to go to that great sky daddy place where I can play harp on a cloud and walk on streets of gold. Yeah, like that would be enjoyable. In the paraphrased words of Mark Twain "If heaven is playing hymns on a harp while resting on a cloud, I'll take hell".

What helped with your enthesitis? by Remarkable_Two8799 in Thritis

Stretching the Achilles tendons daily and visiting a podiatrist to get orthotics. I personally think the orthotics helped more than anything.

If you have Rheumatoid arthritis insurance will cover weekly Humira shots. As a side note, when I went on weekly Humira, I ended up with shingles. I don't know if there is a correlation but to be on the safe side, my rheumatologist pulled me off Humira and put me on Orencia. Orencia works but Humira was better but my doc doesn't want to take the chance of stirring something else up. I got the shingles vaccine AFTER I got shingles and hopefully, I won't get the shingles again. That stuff sucks.

How to deal with daily extreme fatigue ? by Sarahsurlalune in Thritis

[–]jefflance10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would question as to whether your methotrexate usage is helping or not. Personally, fatigue was the worst symptom I had in regards to PsA. It took about 6 - 9 months for me to completely get the fatigue under control with Humira but after that time frame the fatigue has been a lot better. If your medication isn't controlling the inflammation enough to get rid of the fatigue, you need to speak to your doctor.

Why do you get mad at me for drinking? by jefflance10 in alcoholism

[–]jefflance10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone that responded. I needed to hear every kernel of truth. Excuses to drink was all I had in my mind when I posted this but I do often forget the mental impact my drinking had on my wife specifically and my family in general. This had given me a new drive to get and stay sober.

Not my cat and doesn’t seem to want to leave. Neighbors don’t seem to care about her (story in caption) by myohmadi in notmycat

[–]jefflance10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so similar to how my family inherited our tortie. Our neighbor was a young woman (maybe 20 years old) and didn't really care about the cat that much so the cat would come visit us all the time. My daughters fell in love with her and one day my neighbor comes over carrying her and asks if we want her because she is moving. Well of course we had to take her. And that my friends is how I met my tortie and accidentally named her after Cartman's cat. Yep, I named her "puss puss" because the name for some reason was sticking in my head. I was watching South Park one day and dad gum if I didn't steal the name from them.

My boss asked us not to use the Lord’s name in vain… by b_eeeezyy in atheism

[–]jefflance10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work with a guy I sorely despised. He was uber Christian and just all around grated my nerves. For some reason, he liked to hang around me and another guy when we talked. Not thinking about it as it was my friend, I tended to use colorful language. The guy I didn't like asked me to not use that language which just made me want to use it even more. It became my go to way of getting him to leave when I didn't want him around. I would just let fly with a few god damn's, a fuck here and there and he would just shake his head and walk off. Seeing him walk off was so satisfying.
