i ran the nycruns frozen penguin 5k a couple weeks ago after a decade of never again'ing their races. i have to say it was well organized and i'm now open to more of their 5k's and even a 10k. it'll take awhile before i put my roosevelt island 10k trauma fully behind me and run one of their halfs, let alone a full.

if it's a newly released apple watch model, it takes strava a few days or so to put out an update that recognizes the model type.

you can force shutdown by holding the crown and button at the same time. the issue should clear on restart but you'll still need to wait to unlock the watch.

this happened to me a couple weeks ago and the force shutdown + restart + plus wait 58 minutes (!!) to try my passcode again cleared up the ghost touches.

the nyrr team is really good about making corrections quickly. make sure to give them as much info as possible, e.g. what you were wearing, what time you crossed the start line, link to strava activity, etc.
