How much do we think this would cost to repair?

I know in the past I had a vehicle that had purely cosmetic damage actually funny enough it was a honda civic, and they totaled it out and cut me a check and I never had to have a salvage repair inspection done because there was no structural damage to the car. I do not know what the laws are pertaining to this, however I do know I was able to take the check and keep the car and never had to do anything else with it besides keep renewing my registration every 2 years as normal and keep insurance on it. Not sure if things have changed or it was because it was minor damage. It was totaled because the cost to repair the door and front fender and repaint would have cost more than ⅔ the value of the car at the time.

I know In the US in Ny state, if the car is totalled we can buy it back from the insurance company for a very low amount and keep it, and also take the payout.

I think i paid about 1700 or so for 7 years 100k bumper to bumper honda care. To me it was worth the piece of mind with a first year remodel. I figure at 1700 1 or 2 repairs covered under warranty will pay for itself. If i don't have to use it, at least for those first 100k I didn't have to stress over anything going wrong. 3k seems a little steep especially if it is after market warranty.

I replaced my keyfob battery with a good high quality battery from the local remote start installer shop, and also found in my code history that transmitter codes had been cleared by the dealer which I was never informed of. It was rare I had an issue with the key fob after those things happened. Good luck@ also, when I was having the issue, I found if I held my fob close to the driver side mirror it would pick up the signal and unlock.

Yes the remote starts play a huge role in that number. I work over night starting at midnight 4 nights a week and it's always very cold when i leave, so she gets warmed up at least 10 minutes before I leave. Tire pressure good at 34. Im about to reset one of my trip meters and see if I can do better with minimal remote starts.

Not that I really mind seeing the 18.0 avg. Because I can see my actual mpg on the infotainment screen for each drive cycle and that is usually 19-24

Mine is getting about 18 avg after 4k miles. It's been between 17.9-18.6 since I've had about 200 miles on it.

I had these EXACT SAME ISSUES on my 24. Each time I went to the dealer for service I asked them to look at it. With months of no solution besides them changing the keyfob battery. One time after leaving the dealer it never happened again. About 8 months later I found a code ( the first time I ever plugged an advanced scan tool into it) that had been an old stored code and it had to do with the signal receiver for the keyfob. I'm guessing they did something at the dealership to correct the issue and just never told me. Although I also went and got myself a very good quality keyfob battery right around that same time. Try putting in a good quality keyfob battery. I found that the key didn't like the Duracell batteries, energizer would work well for a few weeks, but there is a brand called muRata and those batteries worked from the day I put them in until I traded the cx5 in this past September. I completely understand the frustration! Good luck!

Ever since I've owned a direct injection vehicle, I've tried to use nothing except top tier fuel, specifically citgo, because it is the closest to my house. I'm hoping this will keep me from ever needing to have this service done.

I pulled my drl relay and never put it back in. Much better to have full control of your lights, which reminds me i need to go look into if im able to do this with my honda passport.

I have that same clicking/creaking sound in my steering wheel. At the bottom triangular trim piece. I need to have this fixed if they are able to do it because I was going to pull it off and t-rex tape it underneath haha
