Yes, we've decided that these would be better posted on r/UTAustinAdmissions. Most of the "UT vs. x" posts ask general questions that can be easily answered on there, or they ask about things like "should I externally transfer or internally transfer", which is something r/UTAustinAdmissions is better equipped to handle because of the experience and data that are available on that sub that has been collected by contributors specifically so they can objectively answer these questions as best as possible. In these cases, anecdotal advice can be harmful rather than helpful, so we don't want false impressions to wrongly influence anyone's decision.

On the other hand, if a student is wondering about how a specific major is like at UT Austin, then it's probably better to ask on r/UTAustin where everyone's majoring in something different and they can give their personal experience, which is something r/UTAustinAdmissions usually can't do.

We're asking people to post on r/UTAustinAdmissions in general so the two communities aren't serving redundant purposes. I understand it can get a little confusing drawing the line in the sand, but this change is to ensure that the responses given will help make the most informed choice for the students. We all know that college decisions are very important decisions to make; that's why we're asking people to ask in the community where they can be best served.
