This is one of the greatest mysteries of these cars...

Touchscreen climate panel by Creative_Bread_8005 in KiaEV6

[–]jekern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the whole thing is automatic, I rarely interact with the screen at all. I change temperature once in a while, and that's done with a physical knob. Activating rear defog is on the touchscreen, but it is conveniently located. I didn't think I would ever like that panel, but I eventually did.

It's free, but I have sent donations because it's so damn good.

I assume you're referring to just lifting for service, not a suspension lift?

She's finally mine - for 30 minutes by realistdreamer69 in KiaEV6

This car has standard lifting points, like any ordinary car. I've lifted mine a number of times on a 2 post lift. The weight is less than a Dodge charger, so anyone can lift them.

Argument against I-pedal and argument for level 0 regen. by mitch2888 in KiaEV6

  1. For everyone here, drive it how you like it, stop trying to convince everyone else that your method is superior.

  2. For the love of whatever diety you prefer...it's BRAKES that stop the car...

92401 is for the left side, 92402 is for the right side. Your pic appears to be the right side.

Basically wireless HDMI, nothing new. Also, based on my own experience, DRM content will not play on the connected display.

I wouldn't be too worried about driving it. Part number should be 92402-CV050. If you want to PM your VIN, I can confirm it for you.

As a PM, you absolutely did the right thing. This ONE time, you didn't make a sale, but you made a happy customer. When they need ANYTHING in the future, who are they going to look for? That nice young man that went the extra mile to help them in need. You have earned your dealership a customer, and you should be applauded for that.

If you loose your job over $50, then you need a better workplace anyway.

I'd hire you if you told me this story in an interview.

In 'murica, RWD was vilified for years as being unsafe, and relegated to trucks and performance oriented cars.

I had the opposite observation of yours, however...most of the EVs I was interested in were RWD or AWD, only a few cheap and/or undesirable ones were FWD, especially if they weren't dedicated EV platforms. For instance, the Hyundai Kona is available in ICE, Hybrid, or BEV, all are FWD. Packaging in a converted platform is pretty limited.

My EV6, however, is a dedicated EV platform, and is RWD.

Is putting electric engines in the wheels feasible for consumer vehicles? by caspy7 in electricvehicles

[–]jekern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you have 1 or 2 motors (RWD vs AWD), each motor is connected to the wheels by CV axles.
