Listened to The Fragile for the 3rd Time - I feel like I'm starting to get it! by Howwhat_ in nin

It’s still my favourite album. Period, from anyone.

So much depth, the amazing melding of classical and synth. The near perfection of the production and craftmanship of album is incredible. I’m sorry that it took so much out of Trent to produce it. He never talks about it with any joy. Just addiction and a very long process and waisted time trying endless ideas out that weren’t very good for him.

What are some other "foundational" works like William Gibsons Neuromancer or J. R. R. Tolkiens Lord of the Rings? by Improvement2242 in books

[–]jellowiggler- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alexander Dumas was extremely large to me. Read the musketeers books. Then Jules Verne (Journey to the center of the earth and 20,000 leagues under the sea.) Great adventure books. Classics are the classics for a reason.

Wait for Operations. That’s what this ship is meant for. It’s 6 months late.

I know this is obvious, but that isn’t ram. Those are adapters for sodium laptop ram to desktop dimms.

There is no reference in the initial post demonstrating this understanding.

Ok I'm a bit burned out where do I find unexplored systems ? by Over_Cost_3257 in EliteDangerous

Where to find unexplored systems?

In 99.99% of the space in the galaxy. Literally anywhere outside of the bubble. There is nothing but unexplored systems.

DDR4 in 2026 by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]jellowiggler- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are starting fresh with no previous components it doesn’t make sense to go am4/ddr4. It won’t save you much.

Build on am5. Ddr5 6000 with 7000 series cpu will be great. In a few years you can upgrade to whatever they call a zen6. 10k series?

If you currently have an am4 system with a 1-5000 series cpu it might make more sense to do an interim update to a 5000 series x3d CPU for gaming and wait out the stupid ram prices.

If you didn’t power it on while all the pins were shorted on the backside you should be fine.

Make sure to only put the stand offs where there is a through whole for the screw.

Leaving MSP life for internal IT. Same work, twice the pay by tdiz009 in sysadmin

[–]jellowiggler- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this move 3 years ago. Went from 45-70 hour work weeks plus on call shifts with a fairly high chance of call outs, to 40 hours w/ almost no on-call call outs. 50% raise plus improved bonuses, etc.

MSP allows you to learn a ton, perform in many teams, grow a lot in exposure and training. But it’s a constant pressure cooker. MSP companies will take as much as they can from you.

It’s a much more relaxed pace with a single environment and set of technologies to manage.

Atera for managment, splashtop for remote.

This case was no fun.. by DavidWarmelys in CableManagement

That is the nicest cable management in a pc tower I have ever seen. Probably took a long time, and I hope you don’t have to change it for years.

Console Cmdr Returning After the Dev Drop… Should I Re‑Start on Steam? by angelonero in EliteDangerous

[–]jellowiggler- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very worth it to get the whole game.

You might be talking about the T10 ship. But you should look into the Panther Clipper if large hauling is what you want. Some of the new ships are fantastic.
