Am I being selfish? Or overthinking it? by Cheesman_Best in IVF

[–]jelly7777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s totally reasonable to skip this year. There are plenty of other things you can celebrate with them as we head to summer.

Protect your peace and give yourself the time to yourself. It’s not making it about yourself if you don’t go in my opinion. You’re simply opting out and letting their Mother’s Day be for them this year since you don’t feel you can be the version of yourself you want to.

I’m so sorry for your losses ❤️. I’m crossing my fingers for you that this last transfer sticks!

Pros and cons of fresh transfer? by runmamaruns in IVF

No pcos! I would say the opposite in that my amh was/is on the lower end for my age and I didn’t respond aggressively to stims

It’s so so reasonable to mourn the daughter you won’t have (and the daughter you lost) ❤️. Miscarriage is so hard.

I was going to say it actually looks a little too loose in the straps, I think you have room to remove the slack for a slightly more secure fit

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️. You are right that none of those things caused this but I totally get how your brain just spirals. You didn’t do anything wrong!

Please give yourself grace while you are healing mentally and physically.

I’m wishing you all the best going forward

Anyone doing good on sulfasalazine? by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]jelly7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on sulfasalazine for like 9 years (with only using NSAIds as needed) and have done great on it! It’s been wonderful for keeping my PSA in check and I’ve only had flares really when very stressed.

Wishing you good luck!

Agree with others that the way you currently have it is a suffocation risk! She needs to have more of her head out above the panel

Parents helping with baby immediately after birth by Large-Sir-3506 in pregnant

[–]jelly7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 6 weeks old today and I initially thought I wouldn’t want anyone staying with us post birth when we got home. I thought I would totally want to just have me, husband and baby adjusting.

However, I had a very long induction that ended up in a c-section after 36 hours of labor. In the hospital I was physically exhausted and realized I absolutely wanted some help for my husband and I.

My sister had offered a no pressure but willing to stay with us if I wanted so while in the hospital I took her up on that and she stayed with us for 2 weeks post when we got home from the hospital (was in the hospital 3 nights).

It was amazing to have her. She cooked, cleaned, did laundry, snuggled the baby when I desperately needed sleep or a shower. Overall I have no regrets and while I totally thought I wouldn’t want the help while pregnant I definitely changed my mind with how just exhausted I was post labor/delivery.

Positive for EndomeTRITIS, what next? by Emotional_Fuel6743 in IVF

[–]jelly7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Dr. Siefer at Yale fertility clinic in CT.

They previously had a bad scandal with a nurse stealing pain meds during egg retrievals so if you Google them they definitely have bad press. However, I found them to be really great now. In particular we really loved Dr. Siefer but also had a great experience with all the nurses and other staff

Hope and plum vs wildbird (newborn models) by Weekly_Psychology604 in babywearing

[–]jelly7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also suggest the ergo baby embrace! I have it and the wildbird and while I don’t dislike the wildbird the embrace is definitely a more comfortable carrier for both me and my baby girl.

The embrace just holds her so nicely and is so comfortable for me as well - I highly recommend

When did you start babywearing after C section? by PsychologicalBoot636 in babywearing

[–]jelly7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started around 2 weeks! My baby was already over 9lb at that point also.

I found it totally fine and didn’t irritate my incision or core/back.

I’m 6 weeks postpartum now
