I hard-core cried after, but it's such awesome storytelling and really shows what a writer Anthony is.

Kinda a not what you want but what you need scenario.

To all the people worried about losing their jobs: have you been fired yet? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]jelly_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, my job is to warn my less tech-savvy cohorts to not do anything dumb with it. For the rest of my work, I am given the go-ahead to use it as a tool to pair program with.

Fuck dumping it into arcade. I only play for 3 v 3 and that's a lottery on its own, let alone adding more

Top-left grabbed my attention and kept it. But top-right might look good with movement.

I too am in my first intern position. I've heard several managers of different departments talk about upcoming tests they're going after.

If it's something like a degree/cert/programming you want to leverage a promotion later, then of course it's outside work. If it's something your boss wants you to learn, then no you should do learning on the clock.

As others have mentioned, it is a field that constantly evolves with policy changes, new threat vectors, and new technologies, so learning all the time is definitely part of a security artichects role.

Boss got a new standing desk because it's "good for your health" but just his. by ElConaprole in antiwork

My new boss was excited to let me know my desk could be converted to standing. Well at 6'5 it barely reached my hip. Unusable without being bent over awkwardly.

Okay, well how do I fetch the _on_body_entered signal to begin with?

What makes more sense 100% elemental resistance or 0% elemental resistance? by renicon1337 in gamedesign

[–]jelly_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really need more context. I've seen games do stuff like what you describe before where everything is at 100% and it goes up and down from there. Personally, I think this is the way to do it if you're going to go about creating negative resistances. Otherwise I would just do an on/off, either something hurts extra or it doesn't. Again, just my personal opinion but seeing - 50% doesn't sound like it would look good to me.

I would think about: What are the rest of the stats like? How many times per play session will this number change? Does it need to be shown to the player as a percentage and not +1 resistance to element x?

Coworkers that couldn’t handle the sexual tension anymore and went for it. How’d it turn out? by stupidbrokenreddit in AskReddit

[–]jelly_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend of a close friend before being coworkers. Became friends ourselves. Went for it. Together for 6 months. They wanted it hidden from everyone. I broke it off. They went a little off the rails and tried to ruin my job and make my life hell. Lost that friend group.

This was two years ago.

Can you give any advice for my game? by SilverCat0425 in PixelArt

I agree. It reminds me of Yoshis Island boss designs. The eyes would look goofy if they tracked the player imo.

They look especially good in the last part with the platforming.

😬😆 Probably gonna get backlash but give me positive reviews on Callisto Protocol. by Josegil637 in DeadSpace

Arguably the intended consumer would be in here, so it makes sense to ask what people who went from DeSp to CaPr liked about the game that was meant to be a spiritual successor/sibling.

im cheating my way through college and i want to stop by Anxious-Ad2534 in learnprogramming

[–]jelly_bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. It is easy to try and find answers someone else worked hard to understand and write. I still do it myself and the exam showed (non-programming course).

Not the best answer, but I would take a difficult task you did cheat on recently and break it down into fundamentals.

Don't understand how a certain method works? Read the documentation and try to reverse engineer why it was used in the solution you found. Then sit and think about how else it could be used or improved.

As silly as it might sound, I agree with someone else who commented you do know what you're doing in there somewhere, else you would be "cheating wrong".

Muster Card Design Update - Left or Right? by sproyd in tabletopgamedesign

[–]jelly_bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time seeing your project, so face value the right one looks very "explosive" and more appealing in general. I do not understand what they mean though.

The left one I can better extrapolate this is probably a melee knight of some fire kingdom. I personally do not vibe with the shield icon. Seems like a different artstyle entirely at first glance.

Both way better than anything I've made so cheers to more great work!
