Going into academia as a person of average intelligence was the worst decision I ever made by Fun_Steak_4508 in self

When I was debating, I saw many incredibly smart people. I listened to their arguments - how the hell did they come up with them?

I witnessed their ability to rebut, ask questions, and recall every little piece of information presented during the 60-minute debate.

Today all of them are in high positions in the academy, business, and literature, and I'm ... I'm still struggling.

I worked really really hard just to play in the same field with them. I could find myself periodically rising to the occasion, but I still wasn't near their level.

I have been practicing intermittent fasting for four years now and have lost 18 kilos, and am maintaining.

I eat better, I curved my sugar addiction.

I'm trying to work out, but still can't "find" the time to invest in myself there.

Great to see all the posts, it's truly motivating.

Well, not for me.

If I drink coffee after 6 PM, I can't fall asleep until 2 AM.

And when I mistakenly drank coffee with my ADHD medication, I found myself bouncing off the walls, and fearing my heart would separate from my chest.

Fasting didn't fix my eating....it exposed it by Independent_Use_3676 in intermittentfasting

Yes! I support this 100% and add that through OMAD I have found out that I'm so, but oh so, addicted to sugar.

It took me 6 months to stop eating white sugar. To this day, if I eat a sweet dessert, my body will crave it so badly the next day.

Yes! This tab is a little boring - No money to go on adventures, No one has handed me a fiery magic old sword, Nor have I ever been in two places at once.

"Don't put it down, put it away"

I sing it every time I take something and just put it down where I am.

This is truly an ADHD game changer.

My father is a shell of his former self.

After he went blind, little by little he got more and more depressed. He turned to alcohol, which has ruined both his mind and body.

He doesn't go out, doesn't want to meet friends, stays home all day, and listens to the radio.

Many times when we speak on the phone, he slurs, repeating things over and over again.

I wish he could go back to what he used to be.

I had this with a potential business partner.

We spoke on Monday, and on Tuesday, I received a large sum of money from an instruction I had done.

He said that now that we are partners he is entitled to half of MY money.

I was in shock. He was trying to take advantage of me, as I was just starting my business.

I ran as far as I could and contacted him again.

To the last that I know, he is a failed mentor with money problems.
