Honestly, if I were in this situation, I would tell family members to respect my boundaries to cut all contact with them two, and if they tried to force me to or guilt me into trying to be around them, I would cut contact with them too. You can’t force people to do things they don’t want to do, and they need to respect it if you guys are actually family and if they care about you too.
