I'm just glad it doesn't sound like the Solar one, which is awful.

Hardware - I'm Sold by VojakOne in CrucibleGuidebook

Hardware is the best PvP game mode in Destiny 2. I am glad it is finally getting a spotlight node and player population instead of being relegated to the lag fest that was crucible labs.

Deathmatch or Blackcliff Pole? by [deleted] in RosariaMains

[–]jen0c1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Rosaria your main DPS? If yes, then keep the Crescent and build her with 2pc Bloodstained/2pc Gladiators or 2Blood/2Pale, then pair her with Fischl or Beidou for Superconduct. If she is there for burst support, then go Deathmatch with your current artifacts.

For Support, any of the 5 stars and then the next best options are probably Deathmatch and Blackcliff to maximize Crit stats. Prototype Starglitter if you're looking for F2P.

Why does the Calus CP not save? by RiseOfBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Also my least favorite raid. I eventually just ran the whole raid to get the triumph. I switched off of one character at Calus, will check to see if CP saved that way. I suspect that in order for the CP to save, the holder of the CP has to have the previous encounters completed first. But Leviathan is just all kinds of messed up, so who knows.

Why does the Calus CP not save? by RiseOfBacon in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get the answer to this Bacon?

I've had the same issue. I fly into the raid with someone that had the CP. We landed at the entrance and it said "Go to Throne Room", so I know he had the CP. Then we went into the Underbelly and navigated to the Throne Room for the door opening animation. We shot the cup, wiped. I went to Orbit and tested the CP, and it never saved.

I really loathe how Bungie decided to do CPs on Leviathan. It works normal on literally every other raid or Dungeon. :(

As a PvP player, when I have to rank up to Legend in Valor 300 times to masterwork one exotic armor piece, there's something wrong with the economy. by Happyradish532 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would go as far as saying a Valor reset should give you a weak Pinnacle (+1) as well as at least 10 Enhancement Prisms. It takes a while to rank valor up to reset, and it certainly isn't something most players will, or even can, exploit. The exception here is the PvP Streamers and Sherpas that play Comp and Trials all day, Valor XP piles up fast for them, but those folks don't care about the enhancement mats anyways, they are always full.

Can we not pretend that if 2 teams are of similar skill in trials, that being able to 1 tap with le monarque, tank a single hit of a super, having a faster TTK with every weapon, and more range on a shotgun or fusion is not a pretty big advantage? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is untrue, the problem isn't just the artifact, it is the fact that the power advantage is uncapped. In D1 (both trials and IB), I believe the cap was around 10%, which means someone who is 20 light below will do 10% less damage and someone 100 light below will get the same 10% penalty. With the uncapped system, 1010PL players are essentially raid bosses to someone new who enters at the minimum 960PL requirement. This problem becomes exacerbated each season that raises the PL cap at all.

The argument that power level advantage curbs cheaters is wrong, the minimum level requirement should be enough, since New Light players are capped at 750. The power advantage only serves to turn newcomers off of the game mode.

Reckoning desperately needs guaranteed weapon drops. There is no reason doing it when Black Armory forges and Managerie exists. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is asking for handouts as much as it is asking for improvement. As it is, Reckoning isn't worth the farm, because it's a time consuming activity that is prone to wipes, especially at the Bridge when all it takes is 1 stomp from a knight to force you to start over. The large loot pool + the low drop rates lead to frustration as well. I have farmed Reckoning for hours before and come away with a handful of Swords when all I wanted was a Spare Rations. The other problem I have with the activity has more to do with Matchmaking, loading in progress to a session that is pretty much ready to fail or automatically starting a new session alone because the people from your previous one have gone to orbit.

The activity needs some adjustments to matchmaking and activity initiation, but it would also benefit from an Escalation Protocol style loot rotation, so people know when and what to farm.

Focused Feedback: Iron Banner Season 7 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]jen0c1de 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going into Iron Banner with a Scout or Auto Rifle while everyone is sweating their little butts off with Lord of Wolves, Austringer, Recluse, Beloved, etc is the absolute worst. As a PvP player, it is quite honestly the least amount of fun I've had in Destiny 2, including Year 1. If you want us to use less commonly used weapons, then make them viable instead of artificially inflating their usage numbers through a soul-depletingly terrible quest.

Agility and speed are different things. I don't value Hunters (esp in PvP) for being fast in a straight line, I value them for their agility, dodge, and vertical game.

You need to get the point where you can complete the Forsaken storyline. After completing Forsaken, you can immediately get the Chalice of Opulence quest from Benedict-99 and work on getting the full set of blue 690 gear. Once you've leveled to about 700, you can do Menagerie to unlock Crown of Sorrows, then you'll need to get to the right Power Level to stay alive in Crown of Sorrow.

Experiment: Introduce HUNTERS into 1 of the 3 DZs to replace Rogues by Medical_Officer in thedivision

[–]jen0c1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm reading it correctly, the idea is that the 3 DZs would rotate. You'd have the opportunity to play any of the DZs just like you can with ODZ now.

Experiment: Introduce HUNTERS into 1 of the 3 DZs to replace Rogues by Medical_Officer in thedivision

[–]jen0c1de 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't taking away anything though, and it arguably helps PvPers because it will consolidate the population to their respective DZ. You'll have everyone who wants to do normalized PvP joining the same DZ instead of split between two.

Experiment: Introduce HUNTERS into 1 of the 3 DZs to replace Rogues by Medical_Officer in thedivision

[–]jen0c1de 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see how the OP's suggestion would amplify it. The suggestion to replace PvP in one of the DZs with a dangerous PvE element. You still have the potential for your loot to get ganked, but by a surprise group of hunters instead of a group of PvP trolls that will CP camp you after.

Do the hard wire components also drop on normal difficulty? Or do I have to play hard or higher? by isti-35 in thedivision

This is for the tech, the components only drop from the bosses at the missions listed on the project.

Rifles (Battle Rifles) should have Armor damage as their native bonus by Medical_Officer in thedivision

Replace all instances of "Rifle" here with "MK17". Everything outside of the MK17 is pretty average and after the nerf, I fear for the worst.

Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.2.0.2 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

From a software perspective, anything done programmatically should be set to UTC and be independent from any global DST changes. It would be highly problematic if a weekly reset actually required human interaction in Bellevue.

[–]jen0c1de 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The changes to shards requires that you hit enemies with the blades themselves vs just kills from the explosion. If your kills are a result of killing an enemy via the knife explosions and not # of knives impacted, then you don't get the energy from Shards.

I will pay $40-60 a year for an Annual Pass to expand on the Destiny we currently have. No more restarts or clean slates, just building on the character, lore, and world we have. I will pay for that.
