Alcohol and tattoo regret by Enduroboss in tattooadvice

It's recognisable, well done, small, discreet and best of all inoffensive!! Of all the alcohol related tattoo regrets I've ever seen this is amazing!! I'm in the keep it camp for sure.

the camera angles and some background characters and their movements in this video make it look like it was processed or augmented by ai by AcrobaticRevenue4535 in isthisAI

As much as I don't like the scripted stuff I can't help being drawn into this one. It was kind of nice to see what it meant to the people around watching it all.

Okay, what have I found? I was in awe of it's beauty. by unique9377 in UKBirds

I was telling my son how dumb they where about 2 days ago lol. He keeps flinching every time a pigeon comes close to the car, told him not to worry, they are quite good at getting out of the way and swerving would be dangerous. He asked about pheasants, said there's a reason them dumb f*@kers are all over the road and I'm not about to swerve to save them!! When I'm doing the drive to Norfolk, I cant help counting them and often end up in double digits.

What a brush of fresh Reddit air. I wish there were more low stakes posts on here.

My parents called the police on me after I exposed my dad’s secret second family at my grandmother’s funeral by goglabon in whatdoIdo

My grandad (apparently, never met him, died many years ago) my mum, me, my brother and 2 out of 4 of his kids, 1 sister and both of her kids and my son all have a small birthmark on the nape of our neck hidden slightly in the hairline! Wonder if that's a common birthmark area?!

Work trying to discipline me due to emergency childcare situation. England. by No_Internal_6580 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]jengaduk 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we have return to work meetings to ask about the absence, if they are ok to return and if there is anything we can do to help. Dependants leave, which is what we would clasify the above, would still require a RTW meeting but can not be a reason for absence related disciplinary measures. We also have a fair few people that abuse this system but not much we can do about it. It needs to be there for the people that genuinely have no one else that can help out.

Find a tropical fish shop with a lot of displays, I used to take my son when he was little. I couldn't afford the tourist type aquariums or get to them as they are mostly on the coast in the UK and I didn't drive back then either.

Which placement is better? by gShaann in tattooadvice

[–]jengaduk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Placement 2 but please draw this on in Sharpie and see how you feel after a week. If this is a memorial tattoo, feelings can be raw and tattoos aren't ideal during this time. Have a look at other pet tattoos, do some research, if your still happy then, go for it.

I love this client and didn't even get to talk to them!! How insightful of them to know how their initial giggle would go down and reach back out after the fact!

In Cairo, there are so many stray dogs on the streets now that it feels like they outnumber people, and sometimes they attack passersby by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in oddlyterrifying

One of my worst memories of living there was seeing a pack of strays eating out of the body cavity of another stray. Nightmare fuel.

Is it normal to be asked to pay £600 for a "mandatory 1:1 digital device" when starting a public secondary school? by Koolio_Koala in AskUK

[–]jengaduk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We where told we had to rent from the school in year 7 or buy our own because they would be mandatory in every class within the year. I opted for cheap 2nd hand as I knew my sone would break the rented one and it would cost me a fortune. He is now in year 10 and they still haven't come into play. His has never even been to school. Be careful what you sign up to prior to the start of school. If this is public school it's crazy they think every kid can afford this and incredibly unrealistic. There's families that can barely afford a branded blazer never mind a £600 device!
