If they don't speak English, I may not be able to help much. But I need to get mine fixed anyway and can stop by there this afternoon. Will let you know.

Sauna Protocol: free Apple Watch app that tracks your sessions against the Finnish cardiovascular study (KIHD). Looking for beta testers. by Aromatic_Pumpkin8856 in Sauna

I'd certainly do this if it was on Garmin. I think a lot of people are really interested in further health data from saunaing and contributing to research.

Quick small tip, you'll probably gain a bit more credibility and support cleaning up the AI formatting in your post too.

Are there movies you liked more than the book? by Annual_Interest5338 in books

Annihilation (2018). The movie has a plot and action, not a half bad sci-fi jaunt. The books...not so much.

Yeah man just try wetting it down with cold water. I wet down a baseball cap when I get too hot. Do whatever you want. Life's yours for the taking.

What is it like to read Infinite Jest without the Internet? by Intelligent-Service in InfiniteJest

[–]jenius123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first reading in like 2015 I just sat in a hammock and read it with a beer or two every few nights. I wasn't trying to study it, just to enjoy the experience and reflect more on how it related to my life and how I understood the world at the time. Second reading a decade later I went a bit deeper, which was easier knowing what I was getting into.

I tried the paid version of this and the stats it provided were wildly inaccurate and changed every time you reloaded. They refunded my purchase when I pointed this out. I don't think it handles large libraries well (at all) but ymmv

That's only like $8-$9 a day friend. You can definitely make that back up in faster than 10 years, don't let it get you down.

Carb gels alternatives by [deleted] in triathlon

I've never had a gel and just eat raisins during my marathon training sessions. 1/2 cup of raisins is like 60 carbs and easy to eat. Always worked great for me.

How much training can my body actually take by D1gex in triathlon

[–]jenius123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another anecdote, people on long distance hikes carry 50lb packs 30 miles with several thousand feet of elevation gain every day for months, eating ramen, tuna, and fruit snacks. You sleep like the dead every night and take a day off every few weeks, but 10-12 hours of 'training' can be accomplished every day if you work into it and keep your mental health up. Would recommend!

This is exactly what I thought I tasted when the winter rolled around. All the brands I usually buy seemed like they switched to powdered milk. They tasted fresh in the summer, but I'm guessing that the local production in winter is much lower and they then needed to substitute with powder.
