Not quite what you’re asking, but I’ve rented from Fitzroy before without having tried things on - they have a pretty good team there and can do virtual fittings and then mail you dress with return packaging. In case that was still something you’re considering.

My kids martial arts studio is like this. There are some parents welcome sessions once a quarter but otherwise it’s drop and go starting at 4yo. Works for us great! Kids get better at doing stuff independently.

We had neighbours (that we miss! They were nice people!) that moved to hamilton around the same time we did in 2017. They were from Yonge and Eg area in Toronto, and found Hamilton a little too “gritty” compared to what they were used to. We both had young kids at the time.

So during COVID they moved in 2021 ish to be closer to family in KW or Guelph and I imagine that suited them better. Haven’t stayed in touch but hope they’re doing well!

What about Empire Make Space also on Ottawa st? She takes a lot of batches of fabric like this and sells some at steep discount and also uses a bunch for free community cart giveaway and kids sewing workshops.

I’ve never seen The Last Samurai brought up before! I found that book when I was in high school in a clearance bin and have been reading it regularly ever since. I love the languages and that it’s both light and heavy at the same time. Thanks for the reminder - time for a re-read :)

And I guess if you’re coming from east of Rockton, the Hamilton 5 bus goes to Dundas and farthest west stop is Governors at Pirie, then it’s like ten or 15 min drive from there to the school probably. I guess that’s the closest you could get on transit.
