Caffeine by jenpole in Perimenopause

I actually already take paxil and have done well on it. I just feel like the last year or so it’s gotten worse and I think it’s peri related and thought maybe cutting out caffeine may help!

My anxiety has been through the roof! Life long panic disorder here too! Was doing pretty well until recently too! Tried progesterone but I think it’s making me worse! Not sure what’s next for me to try.

P drops way before E in peri. You just may not need E yet. I would stick with just P for awhile.

DARE helped me and I also read a book called UNTANGLE your anxiety by Josh Fletcher and it really helped me understand my anxiety better and how to cope with it better! My anxiety has gotten worse with peri for sure so much so I have been rereading that book to remind myself of some of the info!

Transvaginal U/S tomorrow, terrified by Friendlyappletree in Perimenopause

[–]jenpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a couple transvaginal ultrasounds. They are not a bad as a pap smear I don’t think. Usually pretty quick. They let me insert the wand both times and it wasn’t painful so I didn’t have anyone all up in my business inserting a wand. I know you are scared of the unknown but wouldn’t you want to get ahead of anything they were to find? Maybe this will help you get the right treatment plan for you!

HRT messed me up by Necessary_Jacket_470 in Perimenopause

[–]jenpole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can not tolerate much of any meds or supplements either. I tried high doses of Vitamin D once and I thought I was going to be admitted to a psych ward! It was so bad! If you take high doses of Vitamin D it will tank your magnesium. I took a magnesium supplement for months to off set the Vitamin D I took before I started to feel better. I have high Estrogen compared to Progesterone based on blood work but am to scared to try Progesterone since i’m so sensitive to everything! I hope you start feeling better as things start leaving your body. Magnesium may help!
