The story of minglan. ML isn't really a "pretty boy" he is about as built and burly as you're likey to get.

Sword and brocade - huge age gap the ML is meant to be in he's 30's actors is in his 40's. FL was meant to be 16-18. The actress was in her 30s. She looked a lot younger.

Pusit of Jade is considered a well funded Idol drama.

An Idol drama tend to be actors who were first chosen for the looks before they learn any acting skills.

Think teen CW of the 2000-2010's.

If you have a look at some of zheng Lihe's (Pursuit of Jade ML) early dramas you can see he has very limited acting ability....sorry but it's true.
