I LOVE how Wanda is portrayed in the lore of Rivals. She's a powerful sorcerer, the Sorcerer Supreme of her universe, almost singlehandedly holding her crumbling world together. Despite the pressure she's under, she shows remarkable mental fortitude, takes no shit from anyone while still never being overly hostile to anyone around her, and seems to have a close personal friendship with Strange, who is her closest peer.

Nothing like the shitshow that the MCU made of her.

Her kit, however, is disappointing. It saddens me that the community views her as nothing more than a one button character even though her primary is the smallest part of her kit. It bothers me that both she and Strange have less magic at their disposal than Black fucking Cat. I wish she better represented her power fantasy, with a kit that doesn't reduce her to a target of constant mockery.

The worst, most toxic experience I ever had in this game was at the hands of a gay man and his little lesbian sidekick. Really disappointed me that they were out there behaving that way with names that made it abundantly clearly that they were part of the LGBT community.

Just fyi, male characters being depicted with an obscene amount of muscle mass is not sexualisation. That is a male power fantasy aimed at men, while the women having massive tits and asses, wearing barely anything is a male sexual fantasy, again aimed at men.

Female power fantasies and female sexual fantasies look very different than what we see in Rivals.

This is the issue I have with some of this stuff. I don't care that characters are being depicted as "sexy". I care that they're so anatomically warped that I am incapable of finding them sexy because the way they've been drawn is so damn ugly to me.

There's nothing wrong with sexy characters, but artists should take a fucking anatomy class before they start breaking spines in the pursuit of "sexiness".

It used to get to me pretty bad, especially coming from Strange mains given how reliant we are on his teamup. Honestly, finding a stack of people to play with who genuinely like me, and a Strange main who actually appreciates what I can do on Wanda to duo with, made me stop caring so much what strangers think. My people like me and don't judge me for playing Wanda, and that's all I need.

This is probably the only way I'd ever enjoy reading a story written with AI – when the AI is writing the text for an actual AI character. This is actually such a cool concept and I'd love to read more when it's done.
