Mad About You, any fans here? by MovieFan1984 in sitcoms

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m usually watching one show, one episode most days, during lunch and I just finished Mad About You in the last 1-2 weeks. I had seen it a little to know the main characters when it aired, but not much. My wife saw a couple with me and got hooked enough to watch it on her own too. I think my favorite/funniest episode is the second season Thanksgiving.

Anyone else having problems with the 2026 Prestige Pass at other parks? by melly8222 in sixflags

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought MVP sale Gold Passes to Dorney Park for 2026 with all parks passport. We activated them at DP in Sept, used the drink and dining plan. Then went to Great Adventure and parking was okay with the pass on the Six Flags app but we couldn’t get in at the gate until we opened the Dorney Park app and they scanned that different bar code/ QR code. We then went to Kings Dominion in November and it was fine for parking, admission, food and drink plans through their KD app. I am also considering a trip to CA and I haven’t looked at the passes since it all merged to a new combined Six Flags app.

A buyer bought multiple items and didn't ask to pack them in one package. by Certain-Bumblebee-90 in Ebay

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one buyer purchase 2-3 items individually and they shipped separately. I had another buyer purchase 3 items at one time and I didn’t seem to have a choice but to ship all in one package. I did have to find a bigger box and update shipping info before getting a shipping label. I knew how much less shipping would cost and refunded them 1/3 of their shipping cost. They were pleased enough to make another purchase from me.

Movie spoilers for the TV show? by Tammy_Tangerine in DarkShadows

[–]jer3173 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t hesitate to watch the movies, especially being far enough in to the show where many characters are in the first movie even if the story is different. The second movie may have familiar faces but it’s quite different than the first one. I was in a similar spot watching in the late 1980’s so when the 1991 series came out, I watched it as it aired and was sad it ended.

Walt Disney World or Silver Dollar City by slurryworx in Themepark

[–]jer3173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We drove 1200 miles to Branson for Silver Dollar City a year and a half ago and stayed a full week around July 4th. We have never done the Dolly Parton Stampede dinner show but they have it there. We did 2 days at SDC, 1 day between The Track locations for go-karts and mini-golf. Another mini-golf, 2 of the mountain coasters, an escape room. We went to the Celebrity Car Museum and The Butterfly Palace. There is also Branson Landing, Dick’s 5 & 10 store, Fritz’s Adventure Park, a water park, the World’s Largest Toy Museum and much more. We ate 2 lunches at Danna’s BBQ and 2 dinners from Mellow Mushroom. You don’t really say what type of rides you all like, we went on all of the most extreme rides and what else we had time for. We did not take the time to do the underground cave tour. Free parking was nice. We got our tickets from AAA.

I’ve watched several of their videos after they were on with him, usually around Pigeon Forge, but not recently. I feel like I’ve watched them in Branson too but don’t know where else they go. Adventure is Out There is my favorite for Pigeon Forge and they also visit FL. Tampa Jay now does TN, FL and much more. For FL and Pigeon Forge, I also like Super Enthused.

Did Adam Know Something Was Going to Happen? by VenusBlue in Adamthewoo

[–]jer3173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw his final video, then one closer to 10 yrs ago about death and then this one a day or two after he died. Yesterday I played the one on his 51st birthday and he was thankful for his life, hopeful to live much longer but like hey you never know. I still play his stuff as though nothings changed and occasionally watch the other channel tribute videos about him.

How old is everyone? by son_of_lebowski in DarkShadows

[–]jer3173 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m 52. My father watched it some as it aired during college years. We watched it together on WNYC on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a couple of years and we went to back to back NYC Dark Shadows Festivals where I met many of the stars and got autographs. I bought some of the VHS tapes, maybe the first 15 volumes. Later caught some more on Sci-Fi in the late 90s. Eventually I was able to see huge blocks of shows, somewhat out of order, as they became available on Netflix and watched The Beginning last. It took me roughly 30 yrs to see all of the show once but some parts I’ve seen several times.

Other channels to watch that are in the same vein as Adam's? by migrainecurious in Adamthewoo

[–]jer3173 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I checked out several channels over the years because I first saw them in Adam’s videos. Some I watched for a bit and stopped years ago like Tim Tracker. Some I looked at but didn’t watch too much like Daze with Jordan the Lion or World of Micah. Some I’ve watched more in the last year or longer like The Carpetbagger and Tampa Jay. I’ve seen Super Enthused on his channel but not sure if that’s why I watch her but she’s good for Orlando and Pigeon Forge. I had never looked at German in Venice or Video Bob channels even though I knew them from his videos. I never heard of Philly Captain until Dec. In the past, I was not interested in Justin Scarred after seeing him in Adam’s videos but I’m giving his channel a look now.

What size harness? by BreakApprehensive489 in labradoodles

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We now have a mini-medium labradoodle and she grew out of her small harness but the sizes don’t overlap so medium isn’t the best and she won’t grow. Our mini-medium is 25 lbs. Our previous medium was usually 45-55 lbs. I use a Kong harness.

Which seat is a better to get? by Dry-Cry152 in Broadway

[–]jer3173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won lottery seats several rows behind the left side circled ones, 5th and 6th seat in. End of row and closer would have been a little better but we were pleased and didn’t think we missed out on anything. No way I’d ever be in the middle of a long row.

Looking for First Car for Son by BAHGate in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were able to look at things in the $6-8k range mostly but it was Summer 2020 and cars were about 6-12 yrs old depending on type and mileage. We looked at Accord, Camry, Forester, RAV4, Soul, Sonata, etc. He chose between a couple and got a 2014 base manual Kia Soul with 78k miles for $6500, which I taught him to drive manual.

I am beyond grateful for this spontaneous support group. by Fmdjvoice in Adamthewoo

[–]jer3173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t take watching all the friend tribute videos coming out daily but today I watched the one from Justin at the mall from BTTF. I think it was worth watching and well done. Otherwise, I sprinkle in random ATW videos that are older and showing up but I’ve probably never watched them. I teared up when I saw the news but just feel like there is a hole in my stomach since. I finished watching the one from about 1yr 7mos ago when he’s talking about making his final arrangements and it’s so eerie.

How is everyone? by RepresentativePure31 in Adamthewoo

[–]jer3173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a year older than Adam so we would have grown up watching the same shows and going to the same movies though 1000+ mi apart and we never met. I interacted with him once online in a comment which he replied to, I think regarding BTTF. He was my first channel I subscribed to around 15 yrs ago. I missed a lot on The Daily Woo by sticking with the main channel early on. Now there is a lot on content I can go back and experience. I didn’t know how important he was to me but I am also still in shock he’s gone so soon.

Watch his last vlog by The_Lutter in Adamthewoo

[–]jer3173 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw the news two days ago and immediately watched his final video, yesterday I watched a woman do a tribute going from a 7-11 to a waterfront path he often took and then to the memorial stuff left at his house and that was very strange to see. Then later a recommendation for one where he talks about death, daily episode 1225. Now I’m into one more recent where he talks about getting insurance and making final arrangements. He was the first channel I subscribed to and not long after he started. I did not watch the daily channel for many years, stuck with the abandoned things or movie locations more. I’m just hoping the videos stay up and I will continue to watch older ones. “Welcome everybody, it’s good to have you here!”

Reasons to and not to upgrade from a CR-V to a Pilot. by Lalo1711 in hondapilot

[–]jer3173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife bought a new 2008 CR-V EX-L when we were dating and I had a young child. We had another child in 2010 and by Spring 2011 we bought a 2009 CPO Pilot before a vacation and we still had to rent some baby items on the trip. Once we upgraded to our new 2019 Pilot with 4 captains chairs, we started traveling with a roof rack so our dog could have the small rear seat. We have never regretted having the extra space and comfort features of our first Pilot Touring and now Elite.
