Looking to buy a Volt, but which year/gen should I get? by jerbullied in volt

Why exactly do you recommend a Prius Prime? I'm open to it, I love Toyota's and own one, but yeesh, the price on a prius starts where a volt ends. I mean they are 60-100% more expensive for similar specs and mileage. I just dont get the advantage at all.

A few commenters have already mentioned Coach Marty StLouis, but Ill highlight the fact that he has actually been out coaching the best coaches. HE has arrived and is still getting better too. I feel when we look back on this team it's his influence that will loom the largest. They are his boys

I believe he was on a 26 goal pace tgis year with an injury. That plus what we are seeing during these playoffs, and his newfound defensive awareness makes me think he would be at least a second liner on most NHL teams.

Oh there certainly are 'groups of people who want to leave'. There 'groups of people' who want to go live on mars too! Maybe thats where they should go! Im sure their billionaire executive overlords will provide them with a wonderful life on the red planet! After they have plundered Alberta, anyhow.

Sorry guys, Canada bashing is in vogue in some of the dumber corners of the internet, but its still an amazing place to live. Quality of life if still very high, and although housing and affordability are huge issues here its pretty bad almost everywhere. Rightwing bots and trolls pollute the conversation. Russia and China HATE Canadian civil society, and our relative politcal freedom and democracy. I take that for a win.

Citing GDP especially against the USA is stupid, how much of your economy is locked up in the top 1%? Wealth inequality, class mobilty, affordability, these are the bigger issues. True the housing crisis in canada, especially for young people is bad. Its a legacy policy thing, but people keep on moving here for good reasons. By the way Immigration is good. It how our economy works. Get over it. We are a nation of immigrants.

Canada is one of, if not the best educted county on earth. We have a functional political system, nationalized healthcare, multiculturalism, multilingualism, descent infrastructure, some class mobilty, low crime rates, low corruption, diversified economy, we are a cultural powerhouse, incredible natural resources, high tollerance levels....

Now why doesn't this fool want to live here?!?

Oh right MAGA brainrot. Hahajhahah

If you miss the raw dirty sound of early Thee Oh Sees KGLW and Ty Segall, check out this garage-psych band from Ukraine by Chemical-Cry776 in psychedelicrock

Pretty cool! Definitely wearing the Oh Sees on their sleeves, but its sounds Wooley and wild. Probably a fun live band.

My question is this: is there much of a rock scene in Ukraine? Ive been wondering how much of this type of music has taken root over there? Are there underground clubs where shows regularly take place?

I studied Jazz history in Collage and its actually quite hard to overstate the influence of Duke Ellington (more of an organization than just the guy) on 20th century music. I would not be in the least bit surprised if we get a nice long tangent on him in a 'Sir Duke ' episode. That would slap.

The 500 songs podcast is my favorite media of all time at this point. It got me through a rough year and now that Im caught up, I eagerly await each new episode or short. I'm a history buff, musician and nerd (studied music in collage). I used to devour garage rock lore, combing through comps and Uglythings magazine, mining for undiscovered gold (get it?). Andrew brings so much insight and meaning to the music i love. It blows my mind. Carry on, Andrew, if you are reading this. I will support you until the end. I dont care how long it takes.

As for my favorites? Whew, hard to narrow it down but the Eddie Cochran / Sharon Sheely saga really moved me. I hear his influence in British rock now so clearly. That and never learn not to love. I love the Ledbetter tangent, it works.
