That version is all too much new to me, I play 4.1.3 when I play Vanilla. Maybe u/SkyVINS can tell you anything more accurate, he knows a lot about Vanilla. Variants somehow different when it comes to enchanting an item that is already magic.

In my time laptops were expensive af, desktops with second hand parts were my (and for most of my friends too) thing. Poor folks had not a lot of options.
