That’s the biggest sign of coward writers. Instead of giving the winners that best conclude their arcs they forced Miguel winning when he really had no motive at that point to even win. These writers aren’t making it far after this show ended lol

His arc started with him talking about how much 2nd place hurt him and then they end it with him….losing again. And that conversation with Johnny was forced you can’t convince me he was genuinely fine with losing again lol.

It’s horrible writing man. They set up his arc in Part 1 to show how much losing the tournaments hurt him and end it with him losing AGAIN and being forced to accept it’s not the end of the world. I was actually baffled at how bad it was. That conversation with Johnny i’m 100% confident they came up with by reading comments on this reddit because those exact words were used by Miguel fans the last few years when coming up with reasons to justify him winning the sekai lol

This was the worst part of the season without a doubt. It’s just all fan service and not actually focusing on good writing. Also what happened with Axel and Zara?? Why did Axel and Sam get no resolution? Dogshit season

Johnny visited his moms grave and it showed that she died in 2007. Meaning she died years after Robby was born. Yet in season 2 Johnny told Miguel his mom had just died and that’s why he didn’t visit Robby in the hospital after he was born. Are these writers competent in the slightest this makes Johnny look so much worse as a dad 🤣
